If you are after seal skin, I would recommend baby seals. They havent had years of swimming,
losing their waterproofness.

And to ensure no holes, important to club said baby seals rather than shoot them. If you must peirce
them with anything sharp, make sure it is in the head region.

Another vote for Daytona Road Star GTX.

Daytona Goretex is what I have now. I have also had TCX Goretex. Both have been good. The Daytona are more solidly built though.

Amit - Those ones I have, 3rd year and going strong.

Sidi- Black rains lasted me 6 years and only leaked when I wore through the toes, Current Sidi B2 Goretex 2 winters in and no leaks. I do clean and polish/dubbin them infrequently

My TCS TrackTech Evo waterproof boots failed to be waterproof after 10 months. The shop that sold them to me spoke to TCS about this. On instruction from TCS, the shop offered me another pair of boots whilst mine are returned to TCS and inspected. However, the shop did not have the same model, which is armoured and waterproof, in my size available, so I was offered either a waterproof unarmoured pair, or an armoured non-waterproof pair. As I was going on a weekend ride to Wales, I opted for the waterproof boots. It turned out that they were not waterproof either. About a week later the shop had got the replacement boots in which I accepted.

These boots were only £130, but did not last a year of pleasure riding. I don’t commute on the bike, and I rarely ride in the rain, that being if I get caught out in it. My previous waterproof boots were Hein Gericke’s own brand, also £130 and lasted 7 years.
