since passing my CBT in early december, Aprilia RS125 has been my drooling dream!
Now i have sufficient money, i can look to buy not just to dream.
I have £1200, and i would like an aprilia rs 125. I have seen ones with new mots and tax etc in at least good condition going for this price, and i cannot get more money for a while.
My ask for you, is do you know anywhere i could get a used Aprilia RS 125 for this price?
i can not go more than about 60 miles from my home town (postcode = CB9) as i need to go down there with my uncle to inspect.
if anyone knows of somewhere i can fit my needs for this price or less, i will be very thankful.

The best advice I would give you is to be very careful as there are plenty of dogs out there amongst the few good’uns.
Look deeper than the shiney plastics, make sure they have reciepts for work done rather than just a stamped up service book (as its so easily forged):crying:
Get the best one you can as there will no doubt be a reason why a bike is a steal;)

but to be honest mate, dont bother for that money all you can expect is trouble.
majority of owners cant ride so gearbox’s are awful
theyre inpatient so the bike is never warmed up properly and constantly ragged
and theyre never properly maintained,ran on cheapest of cheap oil and bodged to stay on the road.
it you want a nice one, get on an rs forum and buy from a dedicated member i.e tjtuning.co.uk
but get a good one and there alot of fun for a 125

i had two rs125s and i had a fair few problems with both of them. for that sort of money youd better be good with a spanner as they can be very tempramental good luck with your search and i hope you get a goodun

mine’s taken a bit of fettling… it looks a little rough around the edges…
probs looking at around £300 when I get it serviced (top end rebuild)…
but damn it’s an awesome bike…
again make sure you check receipts for work done…

Have you arranged insurance already Liam? Insurance is expensive and unfortunately your budget is pretty small.

I’d ring to get quotes first as depending on age and where you live, RS 125s are probably the most expensive 125s to insure, probably because they are some of the most stolen and obviously have performance (most are de restricted when still on a provisional).

not sure of the milage but its allways been warmed up before being ridden(much to the anoyance of the neighbours) only used expensive fully syn oil it hasnt been derestricted in its life but i do have a powervalve and cdi to derestrict it we got it off his friends one but never fitted to his ive looked after it since he had it ,the speedo stopped working a couple of weeks ago and oneside of the fairing is cracked but was like that when we bought it £700 ovno leaves you plenty to have it serviced its never let him down only proplem i know about is the fuel only works on reserve’ tap must be blocked or somthing pm me if your intrested
