Vulcanet Water Free Cleaning

Anyone used it? What’s the impression?

Water is MUCH cheaper…

26 bike cleans for £20 isn’t bad, if it does what it says on the tin.

Cheeky does a dry motorcycle clean. Not sure how she does it, I think she uses that really cheap stuff, what is it again…oh yeah, elbow grease available in all good elbows.

I have this. It works pretty well, but some parts of the bike are much easier to clean with a hose than by hand with, essentially, a cleaning wipe. If you have your own driveway and decent hose, then probably no need for this, but if you need to clean your bike somewhere like a communal car park, or on the street, this will do the job without water. I’m not convinced it takes 1 or 2 wipes like they say, more like 4 or 5, but the can of wipe does last a long time (you get 1 cloth for polishing afterwards). You can clean the car with them too, but there are a million hand car washes in London that will do a better job, and cheaply for cars.

Oh, don’t use the wipes on your bike seat. Makes it slippery.

Over winter when it’s freezing I’ll give my Blackbird a clean with them instead of getting water all over the place and it freezing.

I can do it with 3 wipes including wheels (i.e. turning them from black back to silver) and there’s a lot of body work on a 'bird. The 3 are 100% spent at the end and I’m careful of the order I clean in but it’s possible.

I find them a really useful (although only occasional use) accessory. The microfibre cloth also brings up a nice shine and there’s definitely a protective coat left behind.

I certainly wouldn’t pay full price as they’re not worth it but they’re normally on sale at half price.
