How much you looking for it?
there going for about 1500-2300 on ebay dude, well thats for a good condition one anyway, mine is not mint so make me an offer! cheers alex
You must have a ball park figure in mind… What’s the reserve?
well i bought it for 1800 last year…and ive done a bit of work to it etc and just serviced…id probably take 1400 of a lb reserve is 1300 dude, and if it done get atleast 1300 ill streetfighter it:)
I wish you luck with the sale but don’t understand why you would you a reserve price when your reserve of £1300 is fair enough?
Why not start a normal auction at £1.3k?
Reserves piss potential buyers off IMHO - imagine going into a shop and asking the price of a Mars bar…“I’m not telling you” says the shopkeeper … “you’l have to keep guessing higher and higher and once you do guess right you HAVE to buy”
Selling is simple - someone wants to buy your bike and you want to sell it - why make it complicated by hiding the price?..Be up front.
Imagine a buyer phoning you up and saying “I deffo want to buy your bike but I won’t tell you how much for you’ll have to tell me!” :w00t:
Reserves work at Sothebys on £Megamillions paintings are for sale - but then if you bid and can’t pay there Sothebys come after you for 5% of your bid price…fully backed by the law.
Ebay won’t enforce jack **** - and a Reserve price encourages wanchors to bid up just “for a larf” or when they’re p1ssed late at night - and then they walk away and Ebay don’t wanna know.
Too late to change the ad now but I’d tell the reserve to any potential buyer that asks…because if there are two bikes for sale a lot of people will go for one without the annoying reserve…
I fully agree with this analogy
thanks for the advice mate, reason being im not sure what it will fetch to be totally honest, but im not gonna take something stupid like 500 quid for it, so min i will take is the reserve which i think is fair…and starting the bidding high might scare them off as they think its gonna rocket? i dont know im not a sales man, just tryna get my pennys for insurance for my new r6
Hey apegs - didn’t mean to take the piss matey, we all have to learn - just wondered what your reasoning was…anyway if the bike is as ok as you say it is someone should get a bargain
