Voting advice and oppinions?

Ok, so recently I stuck my awe in and said in a recent topic how I’d never voted and blamed the reason for this on a lack of education on the subject and and general stimulas too, within my age group. This was slammed down by a few, and as I had no real defense decided, I should bloody vote!!!

So that decided… time for the education! Because I’ll be damned if I’m gonna start watching the news on the evening because it drives me insane as does most TV. And Ive never been a riling newpaper columnist because I reckon its all slanted anyhow. So that leaves general opinion and research on the web.

Thus far I dont see any reason not to Vote for Sian Berry (Green Party). It will no doubt be a ripple in the ocean but I’d feel as if I ment it rather that following the crowd.

what are your thoughts? :ermm:

1st year they make promises

2nd year they have scandals

3rd year they put prices up, apologise about inflation and break all promises re 1st year

4th year start trying to make up for three years of broken promises so as to win another term

Who cares, they all lie steal have scandals and make empty promises. as long as they’re not an absolute joke Im not really bothered. I dont see any difference between them. But hey what do I know? Im just a disfunctional foreigner abusing the hospitality (heard that somewhere).

I’m 32 and have never voted, have never had a real interest in politics so didn’t feel in a place to cast an educated vote.

However Red Ken has gone from very bad to worse, to the extent where I will be voting in the London Mayor election. Will probably go for Boris, more to get Ken out than to get Boris in.

I think the Green Party has ‘done a deal with’ Ken- his words. Don’t know what that means. I suspect Greens are generally anti-motorbike

Greens are not getting my vote, mainly as it is a two horse race, I am voting Borris to get Ken out.

“Anybody who votes should only do so if well iinformed.” So the funny little guy that taught me Brit. Con. said ** years ago.

The only thing I know is it won’t be Ken in the upcoming.

I think I probably know enough.

Anyone who doesn’t vote has no right to complain about their mayor for the forthcoming four years:cool:

As the wise man said “Use the Force wisely”

If i do vote, is it all right to complain about the person I did vote for?

Oldguy.

(Well, it probably lied at pre election stage.)

…and as force = mass x acceleration, then throwing Red Ken of a cliff will result in a force of 90kg x 9.81m/s^2 = 882.9N which would be enough to make Red Ken a large red splat on the beach below.

Satisfying :satisfied:

+1

Very wise words from Mr Chunks indeed Greens are anti anything with an engine surely! they’re not getting my vote!Boris is looking more likely as far as I’m concerned, but Ken seems to have stepped up his game/campaign so is looking better in the polls unfortunately  so anyone who wants him out, GET VOTING please

Ken is the worst of the worst, he manipulates things for his own agenda, he has no interest in what the londoners want…its what he wants simple as that…

He is a communist through and through…but a sincere one…he really believes in his own point of view…and let no one tell him he is wrong…

Let’s get it straight. Ken is not a Communist.

He is, however, a self seeking, manipulative, megolomaniac who thinks his views are worth more than the general concensus view.

But not a Communist.

That stated, I think I’ll give him a miss this time around.
