For anyone that might live in West London.

“He said he was going to grab a pen and paper, but then he just drove off. I really didn’t expect that.”

With the doors shut? Engine running? Hmm… I don’t understand why they didn’t approach the car and take pictures/vrm etc… Its not like they got in the car a bolted…

Surely the camera caught the reg and also if they came out of gardening centre and was in there buying anything the police could have got details from there or even just a clearer picture of them on there cameras…

That’s the first thing I’d have done but to be fair if you’re young and have never been involved in an accident, sometimes the shock gives you mind blank.

That’s also another good point…

It’s easy to get screwed in this situation when you are in shock. Chap at work had a car door open on him when he was on his bicycle. Got a deep gash in his arm for his efforts. Driver agreed to pay for the damage to his bike and gave false details. Some people really are the scum of the earth and won’t take responsibility for their actions.

Point very well articulated. After your fourth or fifth crash you learn how to deal with the shock and get on with business… But the first time or two sh1ts you up pretty bad. You can’t think with clarity.

each to there own i guess, my first accident: once i was on my feet i took photos of the car damage and numberplate as soon as it had stopped…

What a couple of complete sh1tbags in the car. I very much doubt it’ll come to anything now, even if they do trace them. They could just say they stopped, went to check the rider was ok, exchanged details and off they went. They can always argue the rider must have lost their details or whatever.

Certainly reinforces my want of a helmet cam.

After the first time or 2 you should be learning not to be having the 4th or 5th :Whistling:
