I remember thinking of doing the TT many years ago so tried the NW200
to get a taste of racing on public roads.Going through a small town at 150mph
and sometimes three abreast down country lanes took some getting used to.I didnt get used to it and decided against the TT. I travelled over with Jim Moodie and it was his first time there as well.I asked him how he got on after the race.He spent the whole race dicing with the late great Steve Hislop only to tip off on the last lap last corner in a desperate effort to win. After the race it was a mad rush to the ferry as Donington was the next day. The Irish were also more than hospitable providing youd give them your life story.

I would suggest the best DVd’s to get for road racing is the Road Racing Review and TT 2005. Duke do them. I just got the Road Racing Review 2005 DVD… 1000cc superbikes flyinh down little country lanes… literally! get it ordered matey!
In fact… PM ya address, Me mate just did a back up dvd of Road Racing Review 2005… I could send ya that and then you could buy it if you like it!

That was absolutly fantastic, racing on roads like that and at those speeds.
Road racers are truely the most talented of all motorcycle racing!
Staggering stuff, I cannot imagine flying down a bumpy country lane slip-streaming someone at 180mph!

I bought ‘Ragged Edge’ at the show. The greatest (IMHO) road race photographer showing what these guys do with some great accounts and comments.
