So finally! My insurance payout looks like it isn’t too far away and I should be getting my money owed pretty soon!
I would like a ‘hack’ bike… an all-rounder. Must have full fairing, reliability, moderate fuel economy, nothing too desirable (I don’t want it nicked) and a bit of comfort and a nice slice of power…
I’ve been thinking about:
VFR750

Or the early 1990 onwards, CBR600
Anyone had any direct experience with either bike?
Do we have any more suggestions to throw onto the table?
Thanks for looking
Have you got a bigger picture of the top one, can’t quite see it :hehe:
dear god that picture is huge!
why do you want bikes that age? the next generation of both were a lot better.

ideal for cropping and resizing images to make them viewable.

Sorry about the massive picture, that’s now fixed.
I just fancy an old style bike, I’m not sure why really… Cheap and less likely to be nicked, something I won’t get too upset about when I drop it…
Any other suggestions?
Perhaps the later CBR600? F2 model…

Or the VFR750 with the single swinger? Prices do go up with these though…

Or perhaps the Kawasaki ZZR600?

Early slabside Gixxer 750?

Any more suggestions?
Been doing a bit more research…
The 97-98 CBR600 F3 seems to be quite highly rated…
Cheap until it breaks, which will be often.
Trust me, buy something from the late nineties at least.
I’ve a 1997 vfr and aside from damage from when I crashed it, the only thing to go wrong on it was the reg/rec which is a well known fault on them. cost about £35 for a non-honda copy.
