Very happy indeed with my new purchases from the excel show

I went to get a paddock stand but came out with an Abba Superbike Stand,

And I wanted to upgrade my boots, so went for Sidi Vertigo £135, what i want to know is … was this a good price? My haggling skills aint up to much as the curryclub found out, and I didnt do any research online before I went to the show :stuck_out_tongue:

And as an update on my bike feeling terribly wobbly and unsafe (on another post) Mark (Thankyou Mark;))did my tyre pressures for me, and i was 30 i think on the front instead of 36…that’ll be why then :D:D:D

Hence the stand, I am going to learn bike maintenance this year before i come a cropper :w00t:

Wore my Sidls for the first time today - not the easiest to get on / off, but very nice riding

Think your price was sound for boots was sound. No idea on the stand.

Abba stands are the Dogs Do Da’s

I know i was very impressed putting the bike onto it myself at the show  Normally i’d try doing something like that and drop the bike, but you just cant, its very stable.

Glad you’re happy with your purchases. I nearly went back again today (I was there yesterday) as when enquiring about front brake disks, I was offered a pair of “Braking” disks for £325. This is a good price for decent disks but I had never heard of the make. Now I’ve done some research I realise these are the dog’s doodahs of the brake disk world and I should have gone for them! Unfortunately Talon Engineering were only offering them at the show at that price, so if I order a pair tomorrow I will have to pay the full £400 :w00t: Couldn’t go back again today unfortunately as I already had other plans. Now I have to go to Ally Pally, BMF Show etc until I find a pair at that price again :hehe:

got a sweeeeet relentless suzuki jacket, love it to bits!

I got pi55ed

thats not a bad price for the sidi’s i think they retail about 30 quid more in shops

Has RR got one of these stands then?

cool, saw a demostration and i def would like one.

need a garage first

Did you by any chance spend a while putting it on and off the stand on your own ?

If so i think i was stood behind you !

I did indeed, red bodywarmer on, hard to miss me

I had a brown one on !

Also bought an Abba ! ( Stand that it not album ! )

Did you eventually buy the tray the stand sits on to move the bike around ?

Especially as she was trying put a Land Rover on it. ;):P:w00t:

No, i am mastering the 378 point turn to get the bike in the shed :w00t:

Spin it on the side stand… your bike’s really light

Sidi’s - good price too.

We bought a few bits including a front stand, but felt the show’s are becoming lame. Just seems to be no enthusiasm from the hosts or the exhibitors.

Oh, and if anyone bought an ARAI RX7-GP in XS beware! The dealer just dropped one on the floor from 4ft and put it back in the box in front of us!!! :ermm: That unmistakeable sound of a lid dropping just makes me cringe.

I do sometimes spin it on the sidestand, but the honda dealer advised me against it as its not a steel frame or something like that. Abba also do a spinning thingy that you slide under the bike then just spin it round so the weight is not on the sidestand. was another £70 quid though.
