And I wanted to upgrade my boots, so went for Sidi Vertigo £135, what i want to know is … was this a good price? My haggling skills aint up to much as the curryclub found out, and I didnt do any research online before I went to the show
And as an update on my bike feeling terribly wobbly and unsafe (on another post) Mark (Thankyou Mark;))did my tyre pressures for me, and i was 30 i think on the front instead of 36…that’ll be why then :D:D:D
Hence the stand, I am going to learn bike maintenance this year before i come a cropper :w00t:
I know i was very impressed putting the bike onto it myself at the show Normally i’d try doing something like that and drop the bike, but you just cant, its very stable.
Glad you’re happy with your purchases. I nearly went back again today (I was there yesterday) as when enquiring about front brake disks, I was offered a pair of “Braking” disks for £325. This is a good price for decent disks but I had never heard of the make. Now I’ve done some research I realise these are the dog’s doodahs of the brake disk world and I should have gone for them! Unfortunately Talon Engineering were only offering them at the show at that price, so if I order a pair tomorrow I will have to pay the full £400 :w00t: Couldn’t go back again today unfortunately as I already had other plans. Now I have to go to Ally Pally, BMF Show etc until I find a pair at that price again :hehe:
Spin it on the side stand… your bike’s really light
Sidi’s - good price too.
We bought a few bits including a front stand, but felt the show’s are becoming lame. Just seems to be no enthusiasm from the hosts or the exhibitors.
Oh, and if anyone bought an ARAI RX7-GP in XS beware! The dealer just dropped one on the floor from 4ft and put it back in the box in front of us!!! :ermm: That unmistakeable sound of a lid dropping just makes me cringe.
I do sometimes spin it on the sidestand, but the honda dealer advised me against it as its not a steel frame or something like that. Abba also do a spinning thingy that you slide under the bike then just spin it round so the weight is not on the sidestand. was another £70 quid though.
