Just purchased a Dyson DC07 Animal. Great cleaner. But, Oh Dear, having to teach the little woman to use it…
Dont get me wrong, we share the household duties. Pink jobs and blue jobs.
She spent 20 minutes cleaning the bedroom carpets. Grumbling all the way about how sh1t the cleaner was. There is a feature on the cleaner that allows you to turn off the brushes and she had managed to disengage the brushes. So I managed to keep a straight face and fixed the problem. Then when it came to empty it she took the cylinder out like you are meant to and before she even attempted to get to the bin she pulled the trigger that opens the bottom. All I heard was a scream and a very loud “F*ck IT!!”
One thing for certain is the thing empties very well. :w00t: I have a feeling that this pink job may be reassigned as a blue job.
In my experience the Dyson(s) will pack up just outside the warrant period and then you can go and buy a proper cleaner.
There is a “blue job” attached too. You’ll have to learn to love taking the thing apart to clean out the tortured air path to the dust cylinder about 3 or 4 times a year.
i’m with kevsta…had my dyson animal 8 years and its still the best hoover i’ve ever had:D only thing that broke was a split in the pipe so i bought another for 10 quid off fleabay;)
Anyone remember the old metal henrys that used to give you static shocks when you hoovered carpets?..evil nasty things :w00t:
But nowadays they are cheap crappy plastic…wheres the fun in that;)
