Vacuum Cleaners

How complicated can it be???

Just purchased a Dyson DC07 Animal. Great cleaner. But, Oh Dear, having to teach the little woman to use it…

Dont get me wrong, we share the household duties. Pink jobs and blue jobs.

She spent 20 minutes cleaning the bedroom carpets. Grumbling all the way about how sh1t the cleaner was. There is a feature on the cleaner that allows you to turn off the brushes and she had managed to disengage the brushes. So I managed to keep a straight face and fixed the problem. Then when it came to empty it she took the cylinder out like you are meant to and before she even attempted to get to the bin she pulled the trigger that opens the bottom. All I heard was a scream and a very loud “F*ck IT!!”

One thing for certain is the thing empties very well. :w00t: I have a feeling that this pink job may be reassigned as a blue job.

And she wants to learn how to ride???

There must be something wrong with her as I think this type of work should come naturally . . ? Will they do an exchange?

Don’t worry about a thing.

In my experience the Dyson(s) will pack up just outside the warrant period and then you can go and buy a proper cleaner.

There is a “blue job” attached too. You’ll have to learn to love taking the thing apart to clean out the tortured air path to the dust cylinder about 3 or 4 times a year.

I suppose there’s something wrong with me then hate cleaning.

Just get a Henry to do it - simpler altogether

And cheaper

I actually agree with jetstream on that

Me too great little things.

Anyway, where is Henry … my hoovering needs doing

Had mine eight years and no problems.

I have a henry as well and he gets sore knees on the floor brushing the carpet

hands up who has a henry? lol good lil buggers!

i’m with kevsta…had my dyson animal 8 years and its still the best hoover i’ve ever had:D only thing that broke was a split in the pipe so i bought another for 10 quid off fleabay;)

Anyone remember the old metal henrys that used to give you static shocks when you hoovered carpets?..evil nasty things :w00t:

But nowadays they are cheap crappy plastic…wheres the fun in that;)

I have a DC03, what have you got?

I aint got a Dyson, or is that Die Soon, any more, nor will I have.

Over priced, over rated bits of crap produced by an overblown company owned by an overblown arse.

You might gather, I’m a tad unimpressed.

Ever tried a Kirby?

Um. Is this another euphamism for sheep shagging?

No not really.

Is that a Kathy I see?

And no sheep shagging in sight, feel ashamed, very ashamed!

Kirby…crikey now they were good if a tad ugly!

Kevsta
