Not sure if this has been put up yet but what the hell is going on here

This US copper had better have been sacked and prosecuted

What do our much less gun ho Five-O have to say about this

should add i was referring to the motorist rather than the wedding story
The video on the right

I saw this before but had to turn it off half-way through before I bust a blood vessel or something.
That guy was polite and not a threat in the slightest. The copper obviously had an inferiority complex and wanted to exert his frustration for what was turning out to be a boring day - he was probably pissed that he got found out about there being no road sign and that he had no girl and that he had a small dck.
In situations like that I dont know how i could keep myself from reaching for a gun and shooting him in the temple.
I hope they fire him and take away his pension…what a P
ICK!
Wouldnt you just love to go one on one with him as civilians?

Could’nt get this one to play but I’ve seen others. As you obviously know they work to a different set of rules to us over here, but they do seem to abuse the power sometimes, normally caught on their own in car system. Our authority to use seems to be stricter and more defined,as someone who is authorised to carry,in fact Im doing my refresher training next week.

I’m not naive enough to believe there won’t be similar incidents over here eventually, probably caught on a cameraphone.I do believe though that we won’t match the Yanks for misuse of them.

You have to watch it- A great example of little man with gun

Just watched this and yep, I’m just as horrified as the rest of you.

I will say though that there is very different rules over there than there is here. He clearly used the Taser as a tool of compliance which is not what we use it for in any way. I’m not too sure whether that is allowed in the US or not.

Just like any job though, there will always be people misusing their powers and equipment in the Police, all they achieve is giving those (majority of) good cops a slap in the face and it makes the job even harder for the rest of us.

I hate seeing things like this… when you are in a situation like this unless you are willing to lose your life you have little recourse but to allow yourself to be utterly and completely ass-kicked by the boys in blue when they decided to mistreat you. I say lose your life because any physical action and I’m not talking about attacking the office specifically in defense of yourself can be construed as YOU escalating the situation to a point to give them probable cause to shoot you dead.

He can be dead wrong, it doesn’t matter, if you do anything physical (defensive, evasive or offensive) while being ‘controlled’ by a police officer the charges that can be leveled against you in a court can truly have you lose your freedom until you are a very, very grey old man.

That fella saw the utter ridiculousness of the situation and he seems somewhat bewildered by the situation and made movement back to his vehicle which likely insulted the officer, frankly that officer was gonna hand that fella his a$$ one way or another, that was clear.

20k isn’t enough, the USA fixes all it’s woes by throwing money at a situation, that officer should have charges leveled against him, prosecuted very publicly, fined and fired. That bastard was itchin’ to use his tazer and probably went back to the station house and had a good laugh with his fellows.

damn…I’ve spent a lifetime looking for a reason to trust them but I frankly have seen too much to drop my guard…what a shame and disgrace for those that try to be professional…

More than 350 people were killed last year in North America with “normal” use of a taser, (no-one has ever been convicted of misuse of a taser). Non-fatal? I do not think that word means what you think it means.

The weird thing is the guy says calmly “I dont know what you are doing, why are you doing this” about 10 times before the officer even explains the guy is under arrest for not “doing as he is told” There is no warning such as “if you continue to walk i will be forced to fire”…he just does it.

I will say that the police have a tougher job in the US. If the media and my experience are anything to go by…there is a hugh portion of the country with psychotic tendancies, no education, a hard on for weapons and absoltely no clue of what goes on outside the US borders. The police cant say if the person they are dealing with is a nutter or a normal person.

I wouldnt want to see that guy lose his job but there should be better training and some kind of penalty for his actions. Maybe a desk job for a year or something. At the end of the day it’s his training or the fact he was passed through his training successfully that is to blame.

sorry but that guy does not have the correct attitude for a police officer, he should be dismissed and not allowed near weapons of any kind

dont talk to me about re-training or any other such namby pamby, right on, give him his rights, b*llocks

not only is he overly aggressive but you have to question his level of intelligence, a dangerous mix

He was told several times to turn around and put his hands behind his back.

Why did the guy not do as the officer told him?

Surely if you know that the cops have tasers it is not a wise move to argue or not do as they tell you (irrespective of whether you think you are in the right or wrong).

i agree. To be honest i think it was 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. If a cop has a tazer pointed at you dont walk back to your car and ignore the turn around and put your arms behind your back comment. The cop could assume you are returning to your vehicle for a weapon or to drive away. However, there was no warning other than the tazer being drawn that the cop was about to fire.

Thats why i think it’s a simple training problem.

It’s a tough call. I watch Police, Camera Action and i wouldnt want to face those nutters!
