I’m going to see a bike I want to buy and as I’m no expert on mechanics, I thought, if somebody is around and bored - could take a look with me whather it’s a good bike…Short nitice, I know, but I thought I will try.
Thank you in advance,
y.ps. *live, not liv… (topic), dont know how to edit it to amend it…
And do not go and view a bike at 5pm when it gets dark at 10 to 5 . Even if its in a garage a 100w bulb bares no comparison to even a winter sun for showing up the blemishes .
At 55k the engine will still be sweet if it’s been cared for (on schedule oil/filter changes + valve clearance checks) - however there could be a lot of jobs that need doing or are about to need doing - like worn wheel/head bearings, shock renewal, fork seals about to pop etc - which is ok if the bike is dirt cheap as that gives you the money to put things right.
Deffo take someone who knows what they are looking at so you don’t buy an over-priced lemon.
Thank you for all you advices and expecially HUGE THANK YOU to Garret who was such a great help/support today and made me see things different way (proper way). THANK YOU.ps. I didn’t buy it YET. I’m calling the guy tomorrow after I have a test ride on Groovy’s ER5
