Bottom line on this is just to indicate to the unmarked that you are aware of his/her presence, slow down and ride slowly and sensibly to the nearest safe place and then stop. There will be no grief if it’s clear that you aren’t trying to do a runner. Satisfy yourself that they are real cops and all is fine. Don’t try and use a phone on the move, there’s enough of this stupidity by scooter riders in town.
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.
