Tyres: Michelin Pilot Sport or Bridgestone BT-023?

My front Michelin Pilot Sport (on a Triumph TT600) won’t pass its MOT as the leading edge of the blocks have worn below 1.6mm (the rear of the blocks are around 2.5mm). The rear is at about 2.5 mm.

I have 2 choices:
a. Just change the front to another Pilot Sport (£79 fitted locally) as I may sell the bike in a few months time.
b. Change all 2 tyres for Bridgestone BT-023 (£97 & £120 fitted locally) as I may keep the bike and you can’t cut corners on safety.

I’m leaning to a full change to the Bridgestones, but I can’t find any reviews of them and only limited info on the Michelins.

Can anyone direct me in the way of some reviews? Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Ian

pilot road 2’s for me until the BT023 have some decent reviews behind them. have been really impressed with my PR2’s since changing earlier this year

Another vote for the Pilot Road 2s…Warm up quick and last for miles and miles :hehe:

Im loving the Michelins. Inspire a lot of confidence even for a crap rider like me
