Tyre's again

What do you think…

Track days coming up, iv got Diablo Corsa’s on at the mo, they got a fair bit left in them.

I was thinking of sticking some Supercorsa’s on for summer and keeping my crurrent boots untill Supercorsa’s melt.

Sould i just leave the Diablo’s on for my first trackday see how i go? then go for Super’s from there?

Humm

also what compounds are good?

haha and does nayone know where to get um cheap?

You know that feeling when the front or back of the bike goes light in a corner and you think shit i better stand this up now or its going sideways not forward?

iv had that a few times on current rubber, maybe thats just down to shitty roads and ridding.

I’d just see how your first trackday goes. Unless you are some kind of Rossi I’d say your first trackday will not push the tyres too much providing you keep a cool head.

The DC’s are a superb tyre for the track mate, but if yours are at the tail-end of their life, I personally wouldn’t risk a seven grand bike for the sake of £200. The road-compound SuperCorsa is a superb upgrade from the DC and is a damn sight cheaper than the SuperCorsa Pro, which is the pure race tyre with three different compounds (SC1-SC3 = softer to harder).

yeah, wasnt realy thinking of geting a tyre to match my god like riding skills, more a god like trye to make up for my lack of riding skills…

Humm ill see what i can find

iv done about 2500 miles on the DC’s

Hehe like the rest of us then… I’ve got SuperCorsa’s on the Trumpet (OE fitment) and they seem ace so far. Remind of that as I drag the 675 out of the gravel on 2mrw nite!

I would suggest that if you want the super corsa pros to buy second hand. You can always get part worn/race scrubs. If you need a 180 rear, have a word with GarethRuislip on this forum, he will be unloading slighly worn tyres all season.

Anyone wanting part worn 160 rears and 120 fronts can have a word with me, I have loads already.
