Twin dominator lights and wiring

(I know the answer to this, but I just want to see if other people come to same conclusion…)

When sitting on the bike looking at the front the Left light is permanently on HIGH beam, with a permanent sidelight.

Right side only has a permanent side light and no normal beam, when high beam is switched ‘on’ left AND right side show correctly, flasher works (For right side only, as left is permanently on)

I have changed bulbs and checked the old ones are ok…

SO the problem is somewhere other than the bulbs.

Please post comments/ideas/possibilities etc. below, although like I said im pretty sure I know what it is I just want to see if there are any other possibilities before I stick my idea out there.

Has it got any relays in the circuit ? Had a twin lamp conversion on a gpz900 that some tosser had done , kept blowing relays and giving interesting lighting combinations .

im not sure, unfortunately I have 0 tools at my new place so I cant even start prodding about to look at it… not even a multi meter…

any other ideas?

sounds like its wired up funny but wihtout takeing a look i could not tell i wold offer to ride over with tools and check but with my leg it would be hard =[

yeah wired wrong, did they come wired into 1 connection, basically same colur wire from both shot be together etc and then they will/should light up same

I think it’s a polarity issue.

turns out i apparently had the wrong headlight in it, although thats what the fitting was for, i changed the fitting and put the correct bulb in and it worked but then the bulb didnt sit in the unit properly! :frowning:

so i had to change the fitting again to suit the incorrect bulb correctly…
but then 60miles later the bulb blew so im gonna have a look at it tomorrow…
