Complete disregard of the fact that I was already in the middle lane and swung out on me.
When I enquired if he thought it was a good idea to side-swipe a motorbike he replied: “did you see the railing? No, Neither did I”.
I must admit that one stumped me.
All I could think of as a rejoiner was “Look mate, stop being a winker before you kill someone, eh! You really don’t want one of these things putting an almighty dent in your pretty little toy”.
What a pr**k lucky you took evasive action mate, coulda been a lot worse.
The roads aren’t especially sticky at the moment and I’d just passed a scoot (thank gawd). If we’d been side by side, the outcome would have been substantially different.
I’ve been through the wars with stupid car drivers and have a mind set now that if I’m going down, you’re coming with me. I would’ve hit the car rather than the scoot, even if it meant I’d come off worse.
Luckily I had a flash of insight as I pulled away from the office, that the roads would be full of office party goers heading home and I ramped up the Spidey Sense to full idiot alert mode.

Had some guy in a Golf yesterday trying to race me off the lights I think because he span up his rear wheels when they went green.
I gave him a, ‘you’re a punt’ look as I moved off without any wheel spin…If I can do that with one wheel drive, surely it can be done with two.
His rear wheels went green?? 
Now that would be worth seeing.
Why don’t cage drivers realise that if you spin up when the roads are like this, it gets expensive and involves varying amounts of pain?
…& points and a possible visit to court.
“remember if you see a motorcycle behind you & you feel it’s too close, hit the brakes on and off quite hard, to let them know that”.
just thought i’d add that on as it came to mind.
i overheard that advice being given to a learner driver sometime ago.

Aye but what the lordy! do you do when you see this happening all the time…and I have to say it is very common with women drivers and the elderly…not sure if they are doing it on purpose or just doing the slowing down thing…I say stay in the gap not behind…safer…
