Hi, Does anyone have any experience of what kind of fuel economy I should expect from my newly purchased Tuono 1000R? I was under the impression that if you rode it hard you could expect to reach about 70 miles before the fuel light came on and if ridden sedately about 100 to 130. This morning on my way to work the light came on after only 55 miles which isn’t much by any bikes standards. Should I get it looked at? Thanks.
Fill to brim and set your trip. Ride it till the light comes on and fill up. Note volume required to brim tank.
Now you will will know your MPG, and, how much you have left after the light comes on.

Yeah these figures are about right for my one, I have Akras and map 2 which lower it a fair bit but 55 seems a bit low are you sure it was full right up?
The fuel economy is pretty rubbish but well worth it for all the fun ay?
Hi Pete, I had reset the trip meter when I last filled up and the fuel light came on after only 55 miles, doesn’t seem very much.
Hi Bonkie, I have arrow cans on mine and I presume it’s been remapped for them (was done before I bought it) so wasn’t expecting great economy but 55 miles does seem a bit sh*t. I’m pretty sure the tank was full, the filler clicked and stopped anyway.
So high much is left in the tank when it hits reserve? superduke has 14.4 L tank, you’ve got another 4l or so to go once the reserve light comes on.
Not necessarily full, if you put the hose quite a wau in then it will obviously stop there. Just pull it aout slightly and check you can’t get more in.
I would suggest you should see about 75-80 before the light comes on though chap.
I dont think that can be right mate, even when i ride it really hard (i.e chasing PJ ) its still not that low.
If its running ok, I would give it a few more tank fulls before you need to panic.
I get about 80-90 miles when I’m commuting. I’m on Map 2 with Akras.
