Travelling to Austria...can deviate...good roads?

So I am travelling pretty much to Austria and wondered if some of those experienced in travelling across Europe could give me some good roads to visit on the way there.

Can take wild deviations to visit good places and good roads, but would like to build a nice route there, spread over a number of days, taking in some of the best roads Europe has to offer.

If anyone wouldn’t mind sharing the roads they enjoyed, that I can find on Google maps - so a beginning and end would be good, just a name of a road might not be useful if only the mid-section is actually good to ride on - would be useful to build up a travel route which I can put into a Garmin.

Would like to avoid Motorways as much as possible, given that it will be one fast Motorway return journey.

Speak to Rioting Rob. He will have a wealth of info. (He’s done 3 week long Alps trips - and is doing another this summer)

On the way down - make sure you ride the B500. The voralbergs are worth a detour - and their are a load of half decent passes in Austria.

If you need his email etc - pm me. I know he’s not too active on here.

Also, Andy (Bricking it) has done a few runs in the Black forrest (on route - b500) so could advise.

Can you send me his email? I want to do a trip to alps or pyrenees this summer and looking for help with the planning

B500 is a great fun road. Alot of the roads off the B500 are very good also. Gros Glockner is one of the best roads up to a glacier.

+1 for the Gros Glockner.
