sold the pickup so will be transporting the 2 bikes to track in a hire van (presumably a transit)
just checking what the situ is regarding tie down points etc. easy enough to strap down to the bulkhead or is more required (like wheel chocks)?

most vans have a fair few tie down points but not all, these are well worth the money…
I’m going to Kendal in April and was thinking of getting a van to put the bike in as well. I’ll be looking more closely into it. If you do it soon then please let us know how it goes
Cheers Adz. Are there any vans that definitely do have the points?
Agree that that kind of chock would be good. It’s just a question of cost and more of where to store them I guess.
Ford and Mercs defo have tie down points, top and bottom. I’m cheap so I’d make a frame from 2" by 2" timber that would lie on the floor and have space for the wheel to slot into. £10 should do it
yep my sprinter came with loads of tie down points
Hi there,
ive rented a couple of transits for trackdays. Both of them had 6 tie down points in the loading bay:
2 at the front on each side
2 on the rear ant each side
1 on each wheel box.
