Track Sense Offroading Day

We need a minimum of 4/6 riders - we need to decide if we want to have a day’s instruction (which can only be a weekday) or a trail ride (any day). I have listed all the dates from the instruction calendar on their website and a few weekend dates that need clarification with TS before finalising.

I have obtained a discount of 10% on the listed price for LB. The prices are the same for the trail riding and the instruction days.

See this link for more information:

I’d be up for instruction, but can’t do the September date and likely not the December date, so voted for all the others.

Voted 17th Nov as a monday makes for a long weekend!

Same here…

following a conversation with my boss, I can only do the weekend dates… but dont let that dissuade you - Im perfectly happy to organise even if I cant attend this time (I expect there to be future opportunities!)

That sucks.
Is it worth looking into alternative places or are you really set to these people? Only reason why I’m asking is that I was enquiring with the Yamaha school people a while ago and they could do weekend dates, but they booked in advance a lot and they only put special courses in for larger group.

I’m happy to contact them again for dates and more details though.

There are other companies on the original thread. This is the only one I can stick my oar in on via contacts - so it was worth checking out interest in it. If there is more elsewhere, then I am happy to go there if I can  You dont HAVE to have me along and it might be that someone else sees this, in which case, you have enough to make use of the discount. Just takes someone to organise it/take the lead

I would be up for this , but would prob go for the level 2. Not sure if they mix groups though.
If they can then count me in, (will use my own bike also, unless its the Yamaha or KTM Exp ).I’m quite flexible on dates as long as I have a bit of notice.
Cheers Stu

i’d be keen for one of these… w/e best. also be good to know if they have a secure l/u for my road bike since i’ll be hiring one of theirs … £££

I voted for:

Instruction - Monday 27 October - it’s the soonest and I should be able to get the day off, shame your employer is being an arse PPG

and

Trail riding - Sunday 5 October - I’d like to give the trail riding a go, different experience to doing laps round a track

Personally I’d prefer the trail riding, but realise it’s about what everyone else wants as well, that’s why we’re voting

Jolyon

okies well i can wait another couple of days and then book it if you like?

Just seen a couple of friends from another forum post up pics on Facebook of the Yam Off Road Exp Day, Golding Barn Sussex. It looked like a right laugh! Would love to give it a go…

I picked the weekends, although I am a complete novice and would probably need a bit of instruction, but I can’t take any more time off work. I’ve had quite a bit of time off lately. Only been on a Trials bike once before this, so it would all be new to me. Can’t do Bank Holiday w/e either. Haven’t got anything booked for September yet so 6th or 20th would be good for me. So… we’ve all picked different dates. What’s next?

Oh and its one LB event the rain can’t spoil :w00t:

ah… erm, just found this on their site…

‘NOTE: If you have little or no trail riding experience, we strongly recommend that you attend our off road school before you go trail riding…’

It’s mostly because they do go seriously off-piste at times, and you need to be able to know how to ride and control your off-road bike. I did the Yamaha experience in Wales a few years back (2 experience days back-to-back), and it was tough at times, but definitely very enjoyable.
