i whent on track day at snetterton on my gsxr 600 k4 road bike it was my first one i thought it was really good but the people with track bikes seamed to be right on the edge and taking a lot of people down with them … come on its not a race its just a bit of fun at the end of the day but you would have thought there was prize money at the end its put me off to do another one as i cant afford to bin my bike …
Glad you had fun! Though I’m surprised to hear there were track bike riders hassling you, it’s not normally the case. What group were you in? It’s not normal to have track bikes in the novice group. The more time you spend at the track, the more you get to know what people will and won’t do, so it all gets more comfortable. Though if you were treated badly, take heart, it doesn’t happen at most trackdays.
The LB gang do trackdays with their road bikes, and haven’t been the victim of someone elses actions yet. Well Cezar was, but he did ride off line into the snow 
It’s up to the trackday organisers to ensure that people are grouped according to track experience, and to ensure that nobody is hassled by other riders, so the quality of the organiser makes a huge difference. Don’t lose heart, book another!
