Track day Lydden 4th sept

£85 with hotrax anyone done it and have they got a video lap and advic???

Thanks

Yep, buy a go-kart or Supermoto if you intend on doing this circuit! It’s TINY with a very uninspiring layout, really not recommended for a sportsbike. It’s used extensively for 125/250 and Supermoto racing. For the same money you could do an evening trackday at Brands Hatch, which is a hundred times better, and closer!

Trackmoto recently posted up details of some inexpensive trackdays as well.

Hey

I’ll be there. Not been to Lydden before so can’t offer any advice on the circuit!
Come & say hello though - I’m the girl on the batterd red CBR600RR.

I have also been talked into it - riding an SV650 mini twin. Chuffster emblazoned on the screen and LondonBikers.com on the lower fairing panels - panel plain white and tank blue. Will be in a VW Transporter van - please come and say hello and introduce yourself.

we’ll be there about 10- 10:30 there will be about 4 of us going on the track and of cousre the fans lol

look out for a green, black and silver Zx6r and a red and black gixxer 750 with hong kong phooey stickers( long storey)

gixxer rider has alpinestars leathers and kwak rider has black fieldsheer

p.s have done brands and must say your right but a change is as good as a rest

I shall not be attending. Got a few issues with my SV after tuesdays escapades on the Indy circuit at Brands.

Uhoh, what have you been up to now Chuffster??

Not a lot - see report on Tuesdays events.

Damn man!

smallred r you still going ?

I sure am!!!

I can’t find the blurb I got about it - is it an 11am start or somthing like that?

Any idea if you need both bits of license? I’ve got one booked with FE on the 14th and their instructions now say you need the paper part as well as the picture card?? Never had that before??

good see you there just phoned them you only need the card bit . they r open at 1030 to book in track open about 12

Ok, so what happened? I hear there were plenty of offs etc, tell us more. Hope those that went from here are ok.

Yeah early on people were flinging themselves off in every session. The last 2 sessions there weren’t any offs in my group and it got pretty tiring out there - there really isn’t time to ease off anywhere around there, it’s so damned short! Someone’s Duc was well mashed - didn’t see the owner afterwards but he was apparently in much better condition that the bike. That got well mangled.

Looking forward to doing brands now next week. The lydden hairpin had me rigid - I should have done Brands first after my off to get my head straight about it but not i’ve got hairpin-phobia! Definitely haven’t got my nerve back yet

Well I am glad you are ok. I rate that as a dangerous circuit and not one I really want to do. Just know I am going to have to when I start racing next year.

I Bloody loved it!!! Great day great track very small and makes you work no time to relax. Me powers got a little hot towards the day causing a few high side moments but managed to stay on and plenty of spinning up on exits (power sliding for the first time) over taking plenty of 1000’s 7’s and 9’s. My dad was’nt so lucky low sided it at the hairpin to much throttle to early on the tyres did’nt help the powers started getting a little hot and getting slippery.

I went to a trackday here recently and loved it. I wasn’t going too crazy. Did enjoy overtaking an R1 though, in fact, lapping an R1! Class. I was on my 600 so that made it all the better.

I think I should buy a track bike though. One that I can ride without fear of dumping it.
