Tories propose cutting fuel duty

Tories propose cutting fuel duty - government say it will leave 3 billion pound hole in public finances - what to think? Personally I don’t want to get into debt just to be able to razz around on my bike… .:ermm:

It’s impossible for a small reduction in fuel duty to leave such a huge deficit because the VAT charged on the fuel price has increased so much more than any reduction in duty. Just New Labour bullsh*t spin again in response to a sensible proposal from the Tories who increasingly seem to have a grip on what’s going on. Pity they want to please the greenie lentil munchers as much as Joe and Josephene Public who are paying these high prices.

I will wait and see if it does happen.

I think they are just telling us what we want to hear.

However, I do think that it’s possible to do.

The price of oil has rocketed up recently and any extra tax and tax on tax that the government are getting is really just a windfall. Or are they telling us that they ballanced the budget by predicting the huge rise in the price of oil. Do they have mystic Meg as the Chancellor’s advisor?

Of course it will leave a huge hole in the government spending budget, how else will all the MP’s etc fund their second houses, new kitchen every year etc… etc…

In theory it would work, however, it could just be a vote winner, guess we shall have to wait and see…

this might be qiut ironic but i was waiting for a chopper at battersea heliport and torie party leader camaron was also waiting to board one the fuel price is high but it doesnt stop politicains commuting on choppers wonder how thats being paid for. ay

They might propose cutting fuel duty ,but isnt there a small thing like winning an election first ?

I remember when the Tories were in and anything they did that was unpopular Labour said the oposite…Then whe Labour got in the Tories said the oposite.

This is just the normal bull that they (both parties) think we, the voting public, will be be conned by. Niether are fit to govern but I would not want to go back to the lies and robbery that the Tories did to us back in the 80’s
