I might get a 2007 GSX-R 600 to replace my 2003 Ninja 600…
A chap on here is selling one that needs a bit of work, I could get it to have a newer more updated sports bike. It has the same mileage on it as my Ninja does currently.
Pros: more recent bike, better brakes and suspension, good for a blast, quick.
Cons: not got carbs so a bit more tricky to work on, more compact so I might be too tall for it, it would make me a Gixxer twat etc…
Yeah Daniel the Blade is nearing completion and you know I always need to have a project on the go!
That’s a good point I could drop the pegs down a bit… My only real worry is I’ll be too big for it as I’ll be using it for my summer trips away and although I’m not too fussy about comfort on a bike I think it might feel a little too compact for me…
Maybe I’ll shop round the dealers to see if anyone has a K7 I could take for a little test ride…
Your a bit taller than me and when I sat on a 750 k9 I found it ok. I didn’t ride it so I can’t comment on that aspect. I think it would definitely take me some getting used to. I just hope you travel light on your summer trips as I can’t see it being easy to carry a lot on a bike like that.
Speak to Shiver about the comfort issue as you two are about the same height and he had one of these.
Hahaha yeah gixxers are always getting smashed up by pikes shredding round in trainers.
Good idea Daniel I’ve got me eye on the 750 ahead of the 600
Cheers Shiver, how tall are you? The GSXRs do look pretty compact, tiny when you put my ninja next to them.
I travel super light so only need a bit of space on the pillion seat to strap my Kriega down… I want a sports bike and kind of feel like I could do with something a bit more updated, better brakes and suspension, a bit more power etc…
I’ve got the 750, granted I am not tall but it is by far the most comfortable modern ‘600 size’ I’ve tried. Done 1000 miles in a day on it, comfy bike- Shiver just needs to man up
I don’t know what your problem is Conrad ? we brought the bike from a guy on the forum as no one else had made him a serious offer and I wanted it for my son to use to commute to work on.
That’s the second time you have taken a swipe at me on the public forum, make sure it’s the last.
Didn’t realise it was your son, sorry. Hope he enjoys it.
I just wanted to know what you paid for it, if you don’t want to say then that’s fine. But you’ve replied to my topic, in a slightly unrelated manner, you know I wanted the bike, and it sort of looks like you’re rubbing it in my face.
