!!! THORPE PARK FRIGHT NITE !!!

Me and Trisckie are going to Thorpe Park this friday night, well have to be there for around 5pm, it closes at 10pm. And was wondering if any of you lot fancied a larf?..We are going to be going on all the rides available, and in the DARK !!!

Should be a giggle, sorry about short notice cos it was just a spur of the moment thing…costs about £26 to get in, have to be there for 5pm as i said…you can put your stuff in the lockers there if you go by bikes…or Trisckie said you can leave jkts, helmets etc in her car?..or if i go in my car (contemplating on which) then you can use mine too…

Its no biggie, we are still going either way, but just wondered if any of you fancied it…have to let us know so that we can meet either on route or in car park there…Thorpe Park is in Staines. I will prob go M11/M25 from Chadwell Heath end…so, up to you guys…fancy it? Ive never been on rides in the dark before…not the kind where you get chucked up in the air anyway !!

oooooh, I love the funfair!!! Can’t be anywhere by 5pm though - except work :frowning:

M25 friday night, you might as well go to tesco car park and get the same feeling.

we cant go as tel is taking us for a chinese on friday night.

can go there later though?..it finishes at 10pm?

I went on Sunday and it’s excellent. Don’t miss the special haunted mazes they’ve set up, but be prepared for big queues to get into them! If you want to get on all the rides in one day, especially if you’re only getting there for 5/6pm, I recommend shelling out for a fasttrack ticket otherwise you’ll never get it all done!

Yeh, was told about the maze…wwhhooooooo scary !!! now, do i take bike, or car…bike for speed…car for …err…the stereo?..:w00t:

I wish I could, but being the shape of a gorilla limits the rides I can go on! Usually have to sit on the tea cup ride - looking something like a PG tips ad!

We took my GS. There is a bike park there which seemed fairly secure, there are posts to chain your bike to. It’s near the main entrance/facilities hut. We left our helmets locked to the bike without any problems.

As you go in, just follow the main car park road right around to the front. The marshalls should direct you there anyway.

I might be interested in going again as I had so much fun… Whereabouts are you heading off from on Friday?

Oh, and if you want to go on Loggers Leap or Tidal Wave you definitely want to take something waterproof that you can wear over the top of whatever because you WILL get drenched and you don’t want to be riding home at night in the cold while soaking wet!

I dont finish till 8 :frowning:

I dont get home from work before 7pm, by the time I get there I’ll only get on 1 ride before it closes!

Im going to be going from M11, Redbridge roundabout end? then onto M25 from there…i hope to leave around 3:30pm, meeting Trisckie in the car park at thorpe park…if you can go and want to go, let me know cos if youre going by bike, i will take mine, if you cant make it, i might go in car?..im deffo NOT going on no water rides !!! Mmm Mmmm!!! Wet knickers on a bike, in the freezing cold??? candidate for a nice snotty nose for few weeks or more !!!

Sherrie? we can go another time…maybe a weekend? either there or alton towers? …maybe flatout can arrange another ride out ???

Sounds like a good plan

Well, I’ll be leaving from West London anyway, but I wouldn’t want to try the M25 on a Friday night in the car! Anyway - I can’t give an absolute yes or no right now and I guess you’re almost leaving so let’s just say if either of you get there and there’s a guy sitting on the biggest bike in the bike bays - that’ll be me on my GS Adventure!

Any ideas what time you’re getting there? I figure it’ll take you about an hour?

D.

Leaving soon, aiming to get there for 5.00pm, only got to come from other side of Heathrow …see ya later
