This weekend

Anyone interested in doing anything this weekend? It’s supposed to be unseasonably warm (9C) so we might go somewhere, maybe pick up some culture on the way? IWM Duxofrd perhaps? Unfortunately I don’t have time to plan, so watch this space, express interest and I’ll decide what to do tomorrow morning

perhaps up for something on saturday morning?

Would only be on my scoot (it can do 85mph - eventually!), but could be up for a bimble - especially if it was around the Finchingfield area. Some lovely twisties in that neck of the woods.

I’d love to go to Duxford but I’m away this weekend…if you fancy making that particular trip next weekend though I’ll be we’ll up for it

I’m planning on being at OMC at 1 for Andrews camera session, so any rides for me would be short. itching to get some rubber down though as I’ve been wrapped up in the cage for a week! Icky!

Same as above ^^

We may ride somewhere Sunday but will decide after looking at the weather map Saturday evening.

It won’t be Duxford museum though, we are too tight to pay that much to get in:)

Haha I’m gonna go out just to see Ally on scooter. I’m gonna think about what to do now which is hard because I’m hung over. Watch this space.

Ollie - Next week there’s the Cotswold rideout I’d like to attend, but we’ll see. Duxford is definitely on my to see list though

Crikey I do feel honoured George! Or is it just because you need a good laugh - at my expense?!! Either way, I’m cool with that! Let’s do Finchingfield - not done it yet and will be good experience to remind me of what bends look like - loads of great twisty roads around there, so don’t need to do too much prep. Where will you be coming from, I’m on the Southbank near Waterloo - either come to me if convenient, or I’ll meet you enroute.

Dave, if you’re staying with your gf, you could meet up with us for the first few hours if that works for you, as it’s the right side of London for you. Happy to have an early start.

I guess we’ll see depending on how quick you are on that thing :stuck_out_tongue:

So what I propose is following. We meet at Blackheath at 9am, go to High Beech for 10am, then two hour exploration of the north, back at High Beech for 12pm for the OMC group to split and make it to the camera thing, we then go to FF for lunch. All in all about 134 miles, excluding getting lost (add approx 40 miles  )

After lunch I’m gonna have a closer look at the routes and then make it final and put it into Rideouts

Ok, scrap Duxford, if the Cotswolds is a one day ride (not overnight) I’d be up for that

Let’s see if it’s just you and me George - BHT may be a pain for Dave (and any others). Also getting there for 9am will be a pain for me, but a doable one if absolutely necessary!

Let’s make a final decision this evening, once we have garnered potential (lack of) interest.

Although the scoot can do 85mph - it takes a bloody long time to get there, so expect to have wait around a bit for me, potentially :crying:

The good news is that the Beemer is finally coming home on Tuesday :D, all ready for the Cotswold Loop next weekend.

Well we can leave out Tea Hut, that moves the start time to 10am  But yeah let’s wait a little bit more and we’ll see

Well it looks it’s just you and me then hun. Noticed from your profile that you live in East London. Why don’t I meet you en route to High Beech? Somewhere on the A12 good for you? Have Sat nav, so if you PM me your address, I can meet you at yours, or suggest somewhere that will be easy for me to find (to put into my sat nav). Finchingfield here we come!!

Well we can either meet at High Beech or I’m going to Hein Gericke on the A12 if you wanna go shopping as well, I need a tank bag and a powerlet cable so I’m gonna be stopping there anyway.

HG on the A12 is perfect - will you be done by about 9.30am - can’t do shopping there - would feel like I’m cheating on Stockwell, even if I am still waiting for my bloody boots that I ordered about a month ago! Must ring them tomorrow. Anyway tell me what time works for you - have planned a bit of a route, in case you haven’t had time

And here was me thinking we can start a bit later if we just go for Finchingfield  Well depends on your route really, I was gonna suggest the classic  Can we meet at HG at 10, then quick coffee and a cigarette at High Beech and then off to FF?

10am it is - think my route will keep us busy for a while!

Awesome, see you there

So excited!!! Blue sky, check! Sunshine, check! Good company, check! Twisty rote planned, check! Suitable geared bike to enjoy them with, oh well 4 out of 5 ain’t bad! I may only have 250 cc of twist and go bad-ass-ness to play with, but I just don’t care. Finchingfield here we come!!
