This weekend

what you all get upto this weekend, i unfortunately had to work all weekend so hopefully u lot can giv me an idea of how much fun i could of had in the beautiful summer which is probably over now!!!

I`ve been lazing around today, to hot to do anything.

Hi curtis.

I too had to work this weekend but i do evenings/nights so i know how you feel mate

Spent saturday working on my firestorm project and went to Brands to see SBK today in the glorious sunshine.

Now I’m gonna watch it again on telly

Been the dutiful daughter this weekend as it was my mum’s birthday. Went to Rye today (via a scenic route… part of which might get used on the Kent ride out) - luckily my car is quite nice in this weather too so I didn’t leaving the bike at home too much.

Didn’t do much, no bikes or car, went for a swim, bit of cycling and Church this morning, not been for ages. Relaxing and playing on the net.

i worked 10 til 5 sat and 11 til 7 2day, gonna go to a meet near me 2night

oh…hope everyone enjoyed the fab weather…why can’t it be like this always?? !

me? …finished work…trained to yorks…rode (horse), swam (1mile), hang-glided (high), shopped (spent alot), beer-by-the river ( catchup with friends), bbq (hungry), slept (zzz!), trained back, ran (10k), biked (to ACE - streetfighers), biked some more (practised those corners), beer (sun), swam (1mile), bbq’d (evening sun)… hhhmmmmm! ready to sleep! (stretch- yawn)

Why can’t it be like this always?? sigh…

Saturday I put 150 miles on the Fuoco, huge grin on face.

Today: I did the Memorial Ride. What a cracking day! Rode up to the Ace and was there by 08:00, as they were preparing the ‘arena’ for the stunters. About 8 other riders were coming from that ride-in point, and somehow they all expected me to lead to the Silver Ball (A10, just south of Royston). Heh-ho - so progress was made up the N/C and the A10 to the Silver Ball, where we all had brekker.

I then led the slower ‘chilled’ contingent of the Memorial Ride to Southend, including a couple of new lady riders who weren’t too confident to begin with. By my not hooning off into the distance they kept and developed their confidence, which was a real treat to observe - soon they were swooping around the corners like pros. Smile (Not that sort - evil readers!)

Refreshments quaffed and GP watched at SarfEnd, then an A12/M25/M23 blat (I now have a new maximum speed on Umfaan, the old X9) to Crawley for a group-riding-fest. Most had been there since the morning doing the slow-riding tricks, but I arrived just in time for close following/side-by-side riding lessons and a couple of 10-mile ‘cornerman’ exercises.

All present received their “Unity Support Rider” tabards ready for August 19th ( http://www.unityride.co.uk ).

Then some glorious Surrey twisties to Ryka’s for more tea, and home just in time for “Heartbeat” (I really like that programme).

Sad to miss out on the X9 Club Stamford ride - but 230 miles later I still had fun. Oh - and in my trusty mesh armoured vest I stayed cool.

Ive been working, watching the F1 and cleaning the bike, performing basic checks + chain clean/lube. Thats about it lovely weather tho.

Finally managed to get out on the bike, by begging my dad to come over and babysit for the day. Had lunch with BF at The Cricketers in Duncton, just south of Petworth. Lovely. Then back home, put the chicken in the oven on low and went out again on my own. Rode over to Rykas for an icecream, then a bit of twiddling round the back bits of Surrey and home again. Only about 90 miles but I had a lovely day and even remembered to put my flip flops and a sarong in my bag so didn’t burn up when stopped.

With luck I might even manage to get to the Ace tomorrow evening, and with an even bigger bit of luck I might be able to find someone to keep an eye on small people so I can come on my bike! (Not holding out any hope for the second bit but hey…)
