O.K. This is a bike forum, but you seem to be a pretty well informed, eclectic lot out there.
Anybody know who the provider of the ATM’s (cash points, holes in the wall, whatever) for Abbey is?
It’s not a big deal. I just want to go and rip **** out of their front office.
I’d do it to Abbey, but they don’t give a fig and I’d have to go to Spain for that.

I know that Cisco provide most of the technology within them
That’s probably a given for most ATM’s.
Still need to know.

Not sure about Santander machines specifically but a lot of machines I use have a logo of a company called NCR on them.
NCR = National Cash Register, used to make things called “tills” in wood/metal with typewriter keys and the like.
(Also made some very collectable guitars, but that’s a digression.)
So, NCR quite probably made the machine, I’m looking for the Vanquers that own/install/maintain them.
I think most ATMs at banks are made by NCR, and I would imagine that the bank actually owns the machine and is responsible for it’s maintenance, although they no doubt have a maintenance contract with NCR.
I beleive that NCR used to have an office on the Marylebone Road - not sure if they still do, otherwise you may have to take your grumpiness all the way to Dundee.
BTW… I have a mate who works in R&D for NCR .
oooo can I join you?! Dont really care what your reasons are I have just had enough with banks in general
They haven’t seemed to be that reliable since they switched from OS/2.
