u r warned…
Hahahahaha! yes, we should tell them since that age! lol
Now you tell me…!
lol
I want a burd who buys me a bike and lets me ****-off with it!
LOL DP, diplomacy was never your strong point eh?
Feel free to ignore him of course Tanya. And I’m almost omnipresent, so I know people without them knowing me
You already said you allowed someone you knew to be a bike thief (he was your boyfriend) to ride your bike.
How stoopid is that.
BTW, I take security of my (4) bikes pretty seriously, that includes who I allow to ride 'em.
Bike theft isn’t a joke, what is, is a long-term associate of a bike thief spamming every section of LB just 'cos this time she’s the victim.
I think we all know that loosing your bike to a theif is no joke, we are all bikers in here, and all know the upset and hassel a theft causes, so lets not go hoping somone gets their bike nicked Tanya!! We are’nt the criminals here, well i don’t think we are…
njs71 is right.
and i do hope that none of you have the unfortunate experience of seeing your bikes get sold in part form through internet sites.
yes i let him use the bike, he was my boyfriend, yes he shouldn.t have been as he was an ass but he was and when you’re with someone you try to see the good in them.
unfortunatley i never found it.
surely people can understand that. i’m sorry ducati pete i shouldn’t have said what i said, please accept my sincerest apologies in this matter.
I thought a bit of sympathy rather than a lecture would have gone down a whole lot better…
But thats me, I am guessing DP is very tired after his trip, heh
I really dont know anything about this situation but as its Friday and it beats working i’ll have a crack at mediation. I think Petes point was that she knew her boyfriend was a bike thief before he stole hers and only then did it become a problem. Whether that is true or not i dont know but Pete is normally a furry creature loving woodland dweller.
Certainly abuse is not necessary though. And the terms of use recently posted does state that problems should be delt with in PM.
I think its big of Tan to apologise publicly for her original post, which has since been removed.
But am confused that the use of abusive lanaguage, used in a mannor of disrespect, and posted in a way which does not let the site censor remove (another policy breach I believe), like Tony said, a bit of a smack in the face.
I know of the circumstances previously which led to the policies being drawn up (I was doing similar work for another site and gave Jay my research), and the idea was these policies would make solving situations a fair process, with minimal conflict.
I don’t know where the guidelines have failed us here.
Anyway, See you all at the ace, where I am sure a drink and a joke will keep us sane.
Tanya - I haved edited my earlier post - I now feel it was a bit robust considering the circumstances.
I never seriously thought that bike theft was a laughing matter. However, the circumstances related to yours did raise a eyebrow.
My initial irritation was the same thread being posted in several forums, this isn’t a goldfish bowl!
I wish you the best of luck with the pursuit of this matter.
Sorry - DP
BTW - While your apology is accepted in the spirit it was issued, it wasn’t really required. I could understand the motive behind the remark and to be fair, if one (I) dishes it out you should be prepered to take some back.!
Tony, I’ve got a few replies to some of your points.
I won’t post them cos A) It might sound like I’m having a go at Tanya (which I wouldn’t be) and B) I can’t be bothered to type them at the moment.
Maybe I’ll get you a brew at Frith St some time and I’ll explain.
Jeepers Creepers you lot!!!
I go to WORK (believe it or not) and so can’t get on to the internet for some 8 hours, and what the f*/k happens?
Pete, if you’re out you’re getting a mouthful tonight. And not the pleasant kind.
If Tanya is still reading this I hope you get a tongue lashing of her too.
The rest of you, sorry for neglecting my duties.
Can we say the subject is closed?
