I took my mom and dad out to the shard and for dinner for my day’s birthday only to come back home just before 11pm to see my Triumph was gone. It was parked in my front garden with a disc lock and full alarm immobiliser, and it was just gone.
On closer inspection, there was damage to my front door (I suspect they tried to get in to get to the keys). Also noticed a large scratch on the pavement outside and a piece of brake/clutch lever in the road - so I suspect they must’ve dropped it whilst trying to get into a van. Fuck1ng c*nts!!!
And to make matters worse, I have a guy coming over tomorrow to give me a quote for paving my front garden fully and putting an anchor in.
I’ve had it with bikes! I can not put up with this any more so don’t think I’ll be getting a replacement! They win.
PS. The title is meant to say from my front garden not front harder - damn you auto correct!
I feel so sorry for you mate. Shame the neighbours did not interfere, but i guess that is London nowadays.
I’m a bit worried now as myself have STR. Hope the cunts who done it will pay for it, karma is a bitch, remember that.
Thanks guys. But now I’m thinking I’m being targeted. A scooter and a bike stollen within 6 weeks…they must have been scoping out the place for a while to figure out that no one was in during the evening and have a pop at it…we live about 50 yards from a fire station and about 30 yards from a very busy road full of pubs and restaurants where people walk around all night long…
Starting to think that I’m attracting the attention of criminals to my house and family…this time they’ve just had a pop at the front door. - next time they’ll break the bay window and help themselves to the rest of my possessions…and, god forbid, do it while someone is in and hurt one my family
That’s very sad mate. I can see what you feel, I had 2 burglarys, this what was stollen is nothing if you compare that to feel of insecurity (specially Mrs) I don’t know how I would react, I may hurt someone or myself if I would woke up.
I guess you have to move on. If you can’t relocate, try maybe improve your security systems, double lock on windows and doors. Door chains and maybe a glass breaking alarm (the council will provide this for you free of charge, just give them a call and explain what’s happend). You can look at the alarm systems, at the end of the day they are worth your safe sleep and safety of your family. For vehicles, I’m afraid there is no 100% anti theft resolution, is just matter of how much money you want to spend on it. You said anchor will be in place soon, this is big inconvenience for t…ts who want to steal it. And I guess the best security device are next door neighbours, and in London is really hard to be close with them.
I feel really sorry for you mate, honestly I don’t know what I would do if my baby was stolen.
I feel your devastatation… What year was your bike, thats what attracts thieves if its less than 2-3 years old its a target… Think about getting something older and check websites for your bike up for sale cheap there was a dirty little prick nicking around 5 bikes a week and selling them on gumtree… He came a cropper when he stole a pal of mines bike…, My pal found out where he was from photos of bikes he had been selling and talking to buyers that thought he was dodgy, One happend to belong to a royal marine just back from afganistan, so he let him know where he was…Ahhh justice is served!!
