I think some training is advisable (both for help passing and to make you a better rider) but £550 is surely too much.

I know metropolis is expensive but I’ve heard nothing but great reviews about their training school.
Well done that man. I’ll admit I have absolutely no understanding of the current way of passing your test but good luck with whatever future examination you have to endure.
My mate paid £499 for a 5 day DAS course somewhere in NW London, again in winter. Passed first time as well.
I went via metropolis to do my DAS. The training is supreme. Really good for content. The instructors are good too. One instructor (the instructor I was given) in particular is a great guy. The rest seemed to talk down to you, except for the ladies at the desk managing to the books. I know i left with a bitter taste, but the training itself is of great quality. I would rather have that than an instructor who tries to be your friend. But general friendliness is always a good thing.
