Them and Us

Went to brighton at the weekend and noticed the Them and us syndrome at its best.

Wot i mean is the race rep with matching leather keeping to them selves and the black leather/ waiscaot bikers keeping to themselves and not really interacting with each other.

If were all spose to be into the same thing should/does it matter?

Anyone else noticed similar? not just at brighton anywhere?

Yes, but streetfighters are a strange middle ground where both mix a little more

probably what stopped me having one

To an extent I saw that, but only where it looked like people were already friends or a part of a club or something. There is a lot of eliteism in biking at the moment which is a bad thing I reckon

For me I just like bikes, yeah I don’t like customs much but I have spoken to some of the harley guys before and the’re a nice enough bunch and I nod at everyone on the road

The most I noticed it was when i got my first Supermoto. I love sportsbikes and used to have them before my SM’s, but for some reason I have noticed some people think that because you have a diff style bike your an asshole I think its the media’s fault really cos for years they have been taking the piss out of motards as the “new big thing-not” and how their riders go on about how good they are, but they are slow, impratical etc. Its all bollox thou. I guess its the same for all groups thou, sportsbikes, tourers, customs, classics

At the end of the day, if you ride a bike your cool with me and thats whats good about LB as there is not too much attitude and I know I can speak to the guys on here without them taking the piss cos I have a slow tractor

Funny you guys mention that! Recentelly I stoped riding my ZX6 and I’m enjoying my 1979 CD200. Yes, I have noticied that I’m almost invisible now! I say almost, becouse all the curriers and the guys on similar bikes started to nod at me and look at the bike at the traffic lights, some even ask questions, as before they never looked at me on my blade, gixxer1000 or ZX6…

I myself have never noticied the difference they make before start to ride the old Honda… Silly world, the barelly know that I fancy almost any bike that stop on my side!
