Just got a text from my mate and he has the record. Have a look at him with his trophy. This will be in MCN, Streetfighter, PB etc.
lol, nutter… Doin 150mph on my bike is kinda scary (obviously not on road) But doin 150mph whilst wheelying is some effort!

Brilliant!
Hennessy, it’s not as hard as you imagine, I’m not trying to show-off, but whilst at Donnington GP circuit the other week, it couldn’t be helped doing a wheelie over a bump down the back straight. When I had the confidence to look down, it was in the 150’s. I was raving about it on the day, it felt mad, lol… couldn’t believe it was happening. Great feeling though! Just wished I had an adjustable steering damper that day, it got a bit flighty!
Though obviously, doing it intentionally for a long distance, as per this challange, wow, that’s something very special indeed!
well done to him
thats a nice trophy for the trophy shelf!
i wouldnt mind it myself but wouldnt do that for it!
LOL BeaverLJ, that’s a wicked little avatar you’ve got there!!
Keep watchin and sniggering.
But im sure he just didn’t have to wheelie at high speed, coz on a litre bike would be quite easy. Was it like a height u had to get to or keep it up for a certain about of time before its classed in those competitions??
And Ive never ridden a 1000cc bike, Im just assuming at 150 it would be quite hard on a straight to pump it up and hold it there?

Generally-speaking, the bigger the engine, the easier the wheelie, due to the extra torque. That’s what I’ve found, anyhow.
You have to carry the wheel over a certain height over a certain distance. Thing is although it’s a litre sports bike trying to get the front end up to a good stable height so you can carry a long wheelie would be seriously difficult.
