Check out the last paragraphs… If you know ANYONE that does this kind of things make sure they never come near me… I know A LOT of racers and if I ever get wind of someone doing this sort of thing, I’ll take whatever punishment the police care to give me for killing that person, in cold blood and in a very painful, slow, agonising and horrifically indescribable way.
GSX-R TROPHY LEATHERS STOLEN AT DONINGTON

Two sets of leathers belonging to R&G GSX-R Trophy racers were stolen from a pit garage at Donington Park on Saturday night - and four bikes has their settings altered causing one rider to crash.
The leathers in question are Dainese and Wolf, and are covered in sponsors logos including R&G, Suzuki, Dunlop, Express Insurance and Relentless so should not be hard to spot.
There is a substantial reward for the recovery of the leathers and anyone with any information on their whereabouts can email bikesportnews.com here. No questions will be asked.
Rider Christian Clark crashed at Craner Curves after his suspension settings and tyre pressures were altered overnight without his knowledge. This was also done to three other GSX-Rs and one KTM RC8.
“I was very lucky at Craner Curves,” wrote Clark on the bikesportnews.com GSX-R Trophy Forum. “It was seriously fast crash, the front just washed on me. I wrecked a set of leathers but the bike sustained only minor damage as it never flipped.”
Editor’s comment: This kind of behaviour is dangerous and only morons of the worst sort **** around with other people’s bikes. Christian was lucky he wasn’t seriously hurt or killed. Whoever you are, stop being a wan…r!
It’s not possible a fellow racer (or friends of) could have done this - like nobbling a competitor’s horse - is it? Is there any gambling related to such events, that’d be another possible motive maybe? Scary **** in any event…
Man that is seriously despicable, the potential consequences don’t bear thinking about. Good to know the racer wasn’t seriously hurt. Who could do such a thing.
Going to show my ignorance here. Wouldn’t all the settings be checked again prior to going out. I mean if tyre pressure can change overnight, wouldn’t a re-check be normal practice? Not that mitigates in any way the actions of whoever tampered with the bikes of course.
This is nothing new in racing and it’s fu&king disgusting.
My first visit back to cadwell park after breaking pretty much every bone in my body last year someone did this to me.
We went to bed, with the bike in the awning next to the van as usual, woke up, checked my settings, pressures etc & went out for morning warm up. Something was wrong from turn one but I kept up some pace until the bike started to pogostick and the back tyre was slipping all over the shop, a brief 100mph trip over the grass and got lucky staying upright. Got as far as the hill off the track at the mountain only to spin up and go no further.
Some to rag took a bolt out of my rear shock that released all the oil from the shock over my rear tyre and nearly killed me out the back of the circuit. Ruined my whole weekend as my only spare was a standard unit that I pused too hard that weekend having 2 huge crashes, one of them being a 130mph+ highside landing on my already broken foot.
If I caught anyone doing this I would not know what to do.
My friend had his done too that weekend. And I know of lots of folk it’s been done to so it really isn’t anything new. I keep my bike locked in my truck at all times over night and also trebble check every setting & bolts now too.
Donny is rife for thefts. Last year we had loads of lap tops nicked from caravans on race day. It’s local scum doing the thefts up there.
Hopefully the ole bill will have a crack down on that circuit then, with the MotoGP now being there aswell and all… The thing that I dont really want to know about things like that is if it’s being done by bikers!.. as they’d tarnish such a great community.
