Britain’s 10 best roads:1. A591 between Keswick and Lake Windermere in the Lake District

  1. A82 Glasgow to Fort William in Scotland

  2. A38 from Exeter to Plymouth

  3. M48 across the Severn Bridge

  4. A696 from Newcastle upon Tyne to the Scottish Borders

  5. A3 overlooking the Devils Punchbowl in Surrey

  6. A1 or A167 when you see the Angel of the North - thats a good sight - not a good road!!

  7. A537 out of Macclesfield - any road out of here is a good road!!!

  8. A25 from Dorking to Guildford in Surrey

  9. Oxford Street in London - I think not (unless your wheely-ing off every set of lights - then i can see why!!)

Well i do like A3 at devils punchbowl - a quick road!

Might have to go and see the rest for my self next year, long weekend of riding the good roads…Holiday form to the ready!!

These might be the best 10 roads in the UK but they are NOT the best BIKING roads in the UK,

Try some of these if you ever get the chance

Horsehoe Pass (Llangollen, North Wales)

Hartside Pass A685 (Cumbria)

Snake Pass (A57)

Minehead to Lynmouth (A39)

A595 (Cumbria)

  1. Oxford Street in London ??? i thought this was a good road guide not a good shopping guide??

I think they put that one in for the bus drivers

worse road M25, no brainer really

What are they basing thist on? Fantasy? :stuck_out_tongue:

M25 is ok anti clockwise when it’s not solid. Anti clockwise junction 23 to 26 is total ****. Massive dips and lumps in the tarmac… glad I have good suspension in my motor but totally crapped it on the bike.

Don’t go around the bottom half very often… it’s all **** really
