The Stranger hit the deck :(

Some guy in a Corsa pulled out in front of me on a T-junction. Almost managed to dodge him but bounced off the side of the bonnet, almost kept it up but it was not to be. I hit the deck and slid off the road onto the pavement. Luckily I was only doing around 30mph at the time so wasn’t hurt, but I’m starting to feel a bit sore now :frowning: The bike hasn’t taken too much damage, still rides but lost indicator and mirror, lots of scratches on the fairings, exhaust and engine, and bent brake levers.
Got to call my insurance company in the morning. The guy admitted fault (well he pulled out on me so he’s not got much choice really) but will my insurance cost more after this aswell? Merry xmas to me :frowning:

Sorry about that fella! I hope your doing ok considering…
Maybe you should get down to the local hospital?

Funny ( not ) how it allways hurts more later on, take it easy, put your feet up and have a xmas drink

sorry to hear this dude! glad your ok. Sounds like a classic accident to be honest I imagine the insurance companies will be pretty swift for you especially as he’s admitted fault.

good luck

sorry to hear that, just think, it could of been worse

Sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon, but it really is one of those accidents that always happens.

The same thing very nearly happened to me today, I swerved and just missed her and the car directly behind me had to slam its brakes on to stop from going into her. It wasn’t a T junction either, can’t understand how on earth she thought she had chance to come out, we were all in a line of traffic, going around a bend!

been a bumper year for accidents this year…not good news but glad to hear you are okay…

Sorry to hear about this mate - hope you are ok.

Have to agree with 2strokes - seems to be a lot of people coming a cropper in various ways this year - or does it just seem that way? Went out on the bike for the first time the other day since my accident and I was in super-paranoid mode - I don’t trust cagers one bit anymore (not that I should have done in the first place).

Ouch! I do hope you can get things sorted asap and with little legal wrangling. Problem is that scratched fairings etc can lead to a write off. So see if you can buy the bike back. I very nearly joined your club last night as a large Mercedes decided that I did not have right of way on the roundabout and just pulled straight into my path, I had enough time to climb hard on the brakes and swerve around her. Bloody blonde bint! I was livid and only held it together as the roads were dry and my tyres were fully warmed up - bike behind me was in his horn.

Glad you’re OK mate - and that the bloke actually stopped, let alone admitting liability!

at least your ok dude!

bikes not too bad is it?

Well I’ve just called the insurance company, got to leave it at that for now and wait for them to get back to me later. Hopefully this’ll all be sorted fast enough. Damage to the bike doesn’t look too bad in the light, just a lot of scratches…

Really sorry to hear about your off – I hope the insurance company don’t wrangle too much – what looks like minor damage can sometimes be fairly expensive to put perfectly right!

Wish you well, could’ve been much worse.

Aww crumbs. Insurance company has called me to sort out a replacement vehicle and repairs for my bike, but can’t do anything until they see my CBT certificate (which surely I must have had to get my license?) but the CBT cert is in London… which I need the replacement vehicle in order to get back there. How sucky is this :frowning:
Tis the season to be jolly my left foot! :frowning:

I had a similar accident a few weeks ago. We didnt collide but she admitted it was her fault for pulling out in front of me. Still waiting to hear back from the insurance but have rider support sorting things.
I hope you have seen a doctor but am pleased you were not more hurt.
Merry Christmas!

Sorry to hear of this m8. Chin up and good luck with it all.

sorry to hear bout your off, i would suggest going and seeing a doctor as soon as possible so its on record, but these guys will help you with your claim http://www.bldgroup.co.uk/ they were fantastic when i got took off my zx9 this year, they had a hire bike to me the next day and i was fully paid out within 6 weeks off the accident and they keep me informed of every thing that was going on, i cant recomend them enough and if i ever get taken off they will be the 1st people i will call, and if its not your fault then your insurance shouldn’t be affected when it comes to renewal

Sorry to hear that a blind cager pulled out on you, but glad your OK.

Dude that is so not good at this time of year. Hope that you are ok and that you can get the bike sorted quickly.

As others have said, get yourself to the hospital or your doctors to get check over. Better safe than sorry.
