Hello people,I am not a biker and have never owned a motorbike ,but I took some photos back in May at the memorial run dedicated to The Reverend Graham Hullet.I wanted to get them “out there” for the benefit of anybody who might have attended this gathering. As I said,I am not a biker but I so enjoyed being there at the Paddington starting point of the run.I particularly enjoyed the records that were played by the DJ Dynamite Ady in The Dudley Arms.He played some great old numbers from the likes of Lonnie Donnegan and Mike Sarne, all wonderful stuff and very nostalgic.Of course there were many many wonderful bikes to be seen and the sight of a big old Vincent 1000{I am no expert but I believe it was slightly under 1000cc?}brought back memories of one of the local blokes from the White City Estate, who owned one of these bikes,a geezer called Jimmy West, who sported the 59Club badge on his leather jacket.I mention his name in the hope that he might get to see this message and possibly get in touch.Anyway as I said I will now try to post the few photos that I took.I would just like to pay tribute to the Reverend Graham Hullet too.He was obviously a very dedicated, good hearted man,who spoke up for the bikers and defended them to the hilt by all accounts.I was proud that I was there that day and will lift a glass to his memory,God bless you sir
Because I connect via a dongle,I intend to post this message first and add a second post when I have seen this one load up ok
Cheers Doug, keep them coming! I was on this run and it was good fun. Are you on Facebook? The 59 Club are on there and a few Rocker groups who I’m sure would be interested in seeing them, all the best Michael
