Brave outfit with those clouds looming behind you!
What is that bike?
It’s the scooter equivalent of methadone. Word.
Aprilia Mana 850. No clutch and helmet storage built into the bodywork so scooterists don’t go completely cold turkey!
As for the photo composition, I think Jackie thought I was mad telling her exactly where to kneel down to take the picture!
Where do you normally ask her to kneel down then G?
:w00t:
Outside on a track made of packed hardcore obviously!
Actually that photo makes it look like you’re exploring the outer reaches of cambodia… though I guess Surrey does have some rough parts?
Like Mitcham?
I was referring to the poor road layout and the ‘shacks’ behind you
a an almost proper bike:D:P
it looks beautiful.
would be interested to know how you get on with the clutchless gear shifting.
Certainly the many gear change options allows for it!
very nice
What’s it like filtering!
Rode it to work today, filtering seemed OK. I had it in touring mode - could have dropped into Rain mode for smoother power delivery but didn’t need it.
How does it compare to the Piaggio Julian?
the piaggio was more horse-friendly
As mentioned before - it is not completely different. It is blue.
Even in full auto mode you get to play with gears, changing down for extra engine breaking and the like. Quite enjoying that. Not even selected the auto sport mode (waiting for a Jetstream rideout) or the geared mode yet.
Having riden the Gilera GP800 which has the same engine and transmission (but stuck in auto sport) the Mana handles better, is better at low speed, and generally is much more civilised.
Rode for nearly four hours on Sunday, and a couple of hours on Saturday after picking her up and have found the different riding position no problem at all.
Aprilia ownership is always a pleasure
Who for? My mechanic is on the phone to Samaritans.
