Is war a good thing? Should we have gone to war on Iraq? Does it matter about the weapons of mass destruction? Are the Americans total idiots? Is it just George Bush? We can be glad we live in a free democracy where we can ask such questions. Thats one thing definitely worth fighting for.
Listened to a bit of Radio 4 last night on way home from work. (Peugeot 406 car .zzzz. could only get this station to play. poor FM reception).
It was on the pakistan threat to retaliate on the Americans should the Americans pursue taleban into Pakistan border controls! Pakistan angered that they could deal with the taleban themselves.
Then on speaking to some elders in the Pakistan border villages, they dislike the taleban, but would accept the taleban first over the americans even though they pakistan/taleban were fighting as enemies in the holy war!

It doesnt matter what I say on here, hardly anybody gives a **** WHAT I think - they certainly dont respect it - so I dont bother a lot of the time! 
When I do, nobody reads the thread properly and reads into it what they want to reply anyway, so, frankly who cares! :PAnd Im a much happier person for not caring as a result! If I want to actually make a difference, instead of just going on about it in cyberspace, I ring people up or write them letters, protest in person, or use my contacts…So dont even bother reading the above - Im really not expecting anyone to! lol…

war does not work, but sadly all it takes is one person to start a war…it is that easy…so until everyone accepts everyone else for what they are and what they think we will always have conflicts…

Of course we respect and listen to your views PPG (at least i do) - that’s the beauty of this forum - we all have differing views and have something to learn from each other. I’ve been put right on this forum many times - either directly or by reading other peoples views.
I agree with the above - freedom of speech is worth fighting for - it’s something we should be proud of and defend to the bitter end from all comers (including the authoritarian govt).
Letting of some steam in print is often better than bottling it up (and then hitting someone!)
