The Panigale and the wolf

Pan, you’re fired. Goth Euro Motorbikes … what next a vampire drinking from the oil line… the excessive dry ice clouds, the sitting ina dark corner of a garage… THIS IS WHY EUROPEAN TELLY ISN’T RESPECTED MUCH… everything is a corny stereotype from 20 years ago… all you needed was Gregroian chanting and a dozen buxom women, in dark velvet capes and you could have been back in 1982 without even trying

For god’s sake man get some perspective…

you’re just grumpy cause it wasnt a fireblade in the clip

Panigale is a specialist bit of kit - surely they don’t need this foolish ad exec’s wank session to sell it?

it is quite a tragic piece of attempted marketing isn’t it… the only worse one I’ve seen for awhile was the limp Yamaha presentation of Lorenzo and Rossi… someone really didn’t have the balls to say “This is going to be a fight and we know it, so we’re going to capitalise on that”… they just showed the two of them stood about in black leather for 2 minutes… IT WAS GASHARAMA… and this was a very close second in the “whose made the gashiest gasharama film this week” competition.

These kinds of automotive ads were impressive when they started appearing about a decade ago - the cinematography, art direction and soundtracks etc (minus wolves) was brilliant.

But now they are just so fcking generic and predictable.

The high speed to slo-mo effects, the dramatic whumps on the soundtrack, the moody filters, the stubbly chinned legend in his own lunchtime everyman that we are all supposed to imagine we can be if only we sign on the dotted line and buy this f*cking motorbike . . .

Sorry Pan!
