after fiddling with my knob :ermm::hehe: this morning before setting off on my 4 hour jaunt around Kent and Sussex my ZX10R was a totally different machine. Twitchy and jumpy at every twist of the wrist, pulling wheelies unasked at every opportunity and jut basically being the unrideable hooligan i had read about
Needless to say within an hour of trying to keep up with the others whilst not ending up sliding or somersaulting along the A22/A267 i reclicked the damper all the way back to ‘P’ for pu55y where it is remaining.
yeah for sure, there’s a stretch of road near me called ‘the street’ it cuts the A25 near Sevenoaks and leads into Tonbridge.
I’ve ridden those tight twisted lanes a million times over the years and on different bikes and the route never fails to leave me smiling. This morning however it was meant to be the warm up en route to Sussex but instead with my newly set damper it was nothing short of a warm up for a colonic hehehe
no not as far up as that. it starts just as you come out of Borough Green and goes through Plaxtol, Ightham and Shipbourne villages then into Tonbridge.Has a roundabout at one end and a pub at the Tonbridge end. Needless to say its a popular road…
Neat! If you get the chance, there a great stretch of B2028 between Marsh Green and Dormansland, only about 3 or 4 miles but not one yard of it straight. Makes me go every time.
Cool, Edenbridge is where I was brought up and my old man still lives there, so I often drop by when I’m in the area. Often go M25 - Sundridge - Ide Hill or M25 - Brasted - Toys Hill on the way to see him, both nice for a bit hooning
Know the Sundridge - Ide Hill and the Brastead - Toys Hill bits pretty well. I’m a slow old bu88er these days, but I just love those roads.
Your right Chenster, we have some pretty interesting roads around here. Just watch for the marbles in the middle of the narrower ones in summer. In autumn/early winter we do a good line in leaf slime instead.
And then there’s the horse sh!t a bit further south.
Enjoy. That’s what they are there for. Just watch out for the old f@rt burbling along on the traily. please.
I had an Ohlins on my K5 1000 and from the lightest setting i had it wound up to about 16 clicks (25 all out). Made moving the bike in the garage hard but at speed it was well stable.
