I’ve been looking on line (biketrader & MCN) at a selection of used 600s…and The Motorcycle Centre, Surrey keeps popping up. They appear to have a large selection of used bikes in my price range…
Has anyone on here had any dealings with them? Good/Bad/Indifferent?
Thanks in advance
If they are the ones who have outlets in Blindley Heath and Felbridge, East Grinstead then yes.
A mate has just bought a Triumph Tiger from them. It had a small problem with clocks not working which they rectified immediately. They have a lot of bikes at the Blindley Heath place and I think they may even be open Sundays. (Minor point, but don’t forget to get them to put tax on as part of your negotiations – my mate rode off without any not realising).
This LB link should help:

I seem to remember someone on here bought a Kwaki from them recently. Was it Chenster?? He was happy too.
yep, i bought my ZX10R from them and they were first class ALL the way.
Cheers for the replies… I’ll be popping down there (and quite a few other places) sometime this week…
Hopefully by the weekend I’ll have bought something new:)
Just a word of advice from someone who wasn’t 100% thrilled
Bought a ZX9 about a year and a half ago, and its had a bug inside it for donkeys’. Motorcycle Centre were great about saying they’d sort it out, but their efforts albeit enthusiastic fell far short of fixing the problem… its not so bad the bikes unridable but whatever you’re looking to buy, take it out for a good stretch through ALL the gears in traffic on slow and fast conditions. Make sure you KNOW what you’re getting before parting with the loot. I can’t tell you how frustrating a “nearly” good bike is…
They bought a bike off me a few years ago a GSXR750 and I’ve been in there to look at a few bikes - generally they seem a helpful bunch - some of their stuff isn’t immaculately prepared, but to be fair they aren’t charging main dealer prices - like any dealer they’re out to make money so look carefully and make sure…
A few years ago I went to look at a bike but they wouldnt let me test ride it, they said if i bought the bike and had any issues they would rectify them.Pretty strange attitude I thought as sometimes the bike you like the look of, may not suit you in practice.
It may just have been a moody salesman, but it put me off the place a bit
(maybe I looked a bit dodgy and he thought I would be off on a one way trip on his Busa!)
It’s also worth looking at 2nd bite: http://www.2ndbite.com/shop/bikes.php
I bought my WeeStrom from them and have been really pleased (although their set-up doesn’t look the most professional!)
have also bought a bike from here.
Not too far from you Johnse, theyre in swanley village,up a dirt track, past some horses and in a shed :w00t:
worth the hike though i must admit
