I was surprised to see that the panigale engine was the most powerful v twin. For some reason i expect one of those big harley engines to be so. but reading its quite nice that Ducati have decided to stick with v twin. Quite a feat of modern engine-eering by the sound of things. I look forward to hearing this coming on track

the panigale is not only the best sounding bike i’ve ever heard byt also the sexiest looking!
all i have to do is quote mcn. for a bike that costs around 15k if i remember correct a bit of due care and attention would be nice
"Ducati UK has issued a recall for its 2012 1199 Panigale. The notice, which will affect 618 units, states three different problems with the machine.Ducati will be contacting the owners affected by the recall by letter and remedying the problem free of charge at authorised dealerships.
The recalls are for:
The exhaust butterfly valve Bowden cable cover could melt or burn due to excess heat of the catalytic convertor.
Screws that secure the steering damper to the steering head could fall out due to an insufficient amount of Loctite applied to the threads.
Due to an incorrect assembly tolerance, the Uniball bearing on the damper rod eyelet could slip out of its seat on the Ohlins steering damper."
