The Most Extreme Yamaha YZF-R6 Supersport Yet

Tight. What are people thinking?

Minging…it’s got the wrong badge on it. Yama…Yamahamamaha…F*ck it call it a Suzuki:D:D:D

Great track bike…Not too good on the road…

Will still sell by the truck load though because it doesn’t look like a Suzuki or any other bike in its class to be honest.

Great design I think. Apart from that exhaust. What are they thinking? That’s the best they can style it?! They’ve had enough time to redesign it.

That sems to be a common vein running through a lot of new likes lately… IMO the exhaust designs lately have been awful. Is it a ploy to make us all buy after market zorsts?

I really like it - does look good!

But then so does my Gixxer :stuck_out_tongue:

Needs a tail tidy and small plate to get rid of the tow bar affair at the back but they don’t look bad, I wouldn’t have one, not when the 07 Ninja 6R is so beautiful  Still, at least it’s not a blue and white gixer :P:D

its got to be a fantastic track bike 130 Bhp…wow…agree with the tail tidy issue…

really beautiful (truck) bike. I read that it got 135 bhp.

Ema

Yes but thats at the crank…About 109 at the wheel.

Not bad but my old carb 2000 R6 made 100 at the wheel and more torque aswell…Progress?

still find the nose fairing ugly

is it still a tall wide seat out of interest?

I’m waiting to see what Yamaha do with the next generation R1. Surely the bike is destined for a redesign at the end of 08?

The 07 model, whilst a great bike with interesting technology, always seemed like an interim model to me so I hope Yamaha come with something radically new like they did with the 06 R6.

Just hope its not purely track oriented.

I would guess on a full 200bhp, full traction control and even better front forks…

don`t like it

thats informative…why…

I luv em, but then again i like a Yam

i like it. then again i should.

Afro - in regards to power they are head and shoulders above the rest of the supersport category. Its a race bike and thus with certain mods a cr@p load of power is released. I believe in standard trim they are 113 at the wheel but people have been gaining upwards of 125hp at the wheel from a stock engine with full system and PC.

It’s whole chasis has been upgraded to further improve its increddible handling which was already a class leader and now with the YCC from the R1 it has the engine and power to boot.

Prepare to see this model bike dominating both Junior Superstock and MRO stocksport 600.

Roll on the new season

I’m interested to see how the bike does with the revisions that Yamaha have made…

It was expected to clean up in 06, but didn’t quite manage that despite all the radical new technology…

Was it something to do with the fact that the Honda had a more immediate power delivery and could drive out of corners better or was it because the 600RR was on the scene for the past 3 years and had loads of prior research and development to call upon.

Scratcher good luck to you with the racing this year.

cheers mate. fingers crossed its as good as they say it is

I think it looks quite good, but in the same sort of way that fashion models do, it looks beautiful, but somehow also very wrong on so many levels, like a tall, gangley freak that would snap if you tried to f*** it hard. Give me Porn star any day, with curves you can hold on to and ride every day and night…
