You have 2 options:
Turn Up Eat, Drink & Be Merry - And Poppins will continue to be a friendly Biker’s Friday Night Out!
Don’t Turn up & Stay at the Ace - Then you’ve lost Poppins for good & you can continue eating the CR*P FOOD that is served up at the Ace.
But remember this on a cold winter’s night when you could have been eating and drinking inside a nice cosy establishment offering good food, service and a pleasant atmosphere - But instead you are stuck inside The Ace waiting for your order to turn up. Wondering if you will actually get what you actually ordered & also deliberating whether your Motorbike is going to be knocked over whilst it is sitting in the car park (or worse still - whether or not it will still be there when you return outside.)
POPPINS has made us all welcome for just under 3 years now & it would be a crying shame to lose an establishment as good as this.
But hey - If you are happy at The Ace doing the same old thing week in week out, then you are more than welcome to stay there.
But if you like an alternative or simply a bit of variety, then make the effort, turn up at Poppins tomorrow - Friday 4th July - Treat yourself to a night out (YKYDI - You Know You Deserve It) enjoy some quality food with some quality company.
THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SAVE THIS EVENT!
This is not a BLACKMAIL ATTEMPT or even A FORCE YOU TO GO MESSAGE But is simply a gentle reminder to let you know that this is your final opportunity to save a good night out.
You are more than welcome to go for a ride out afterwards - or whatever else takes your fancy. All we are asking is that if you can possibly make Poppins tomorrow night, please do.
You are welcome to turn up at Poppins anytime from 6:30 pm onwards - LITTLE TIP THOUGH - The earlier you get there, the better parking space you’ll get. Because we all know we all like to see our bikes from the window whilst we eat.
THE RACE IS NOW ON TO SEE WHO CAN GET THE BEST PARKING SPACE - MINE IS ALREADY RESERVED - SO THERE!!!
What’s with all the bad feelings towards the Ace? they have provided a good home for bikers for many, many years now. The Ace is better for me as it’s 10 mins away from home and good place to have dinner and meet up before a rideout, I personally will be sticking with the Ace. I don’t have a problem with the quality of the food at the Ace, have never had a problem with not getting what I ordered and have never worried about whether or not my bike is ok and to be honest I’d rather park my bike in a car park off the road than on the pavement on a main road.
Surely if I was to go to Poppins every friday I would still be doing the same thing week in, week out, just at a different venue!! Sorry if I seem a bit anti Poppins, I am not, just fed up of reading the millions of save poppins posts, if people want to go then they will, if there aren’t enough people attending to justify them staying open late then maybe just keep it as a winter thing, who wants to be sat inside on a summers evening!!
I have to ask… WHY OH WHY do we need so many Poppins posts? We all know that they only stay open for us as a nice thing to do. Please stop posting up all these threads and read the original one that was put up:
