The luggage laden one looks much better IMO.
I’m not sure if it’s neccesarily bad, but the bike does look very BMW.

one word fopr this bike - Streetfighter. OK two words, but there are mechanical wizzards on this forum even that would mod that thing up a treat. I recon with some chopping and welding, some electronics gutted out, it could be a mega fighter.
that 1200 lump was touted to have something of an immense mid range, more that the blades. definatly quicker than the blackbird…REALLY quick.

V4 is ok as long as it aint got the 800’s V-tech, thats fine for a short while but get annoying after a while

As a VFR owner I have to say - too big, too heavy, tank’s too small and…yes, it’s ugly. Certainly won’t be replacing the Banana with one, I don’t fancy crossing London with that twice a day.
Just to point out that both the side on shots peeps posted were mock ups from MCN using the CB1000R as a base.
The real bike is fuglier than that

here we go… Theres no extra rack/frame needed it seems for the panniers. hangers are built into the bike frame. Which is nice. Oh god that exhaust is pig ugly and look slike it will bake anything in yer right pannier. Meh.

18.5 litres, on a tourer, there having a giraffe. Thats about the same size as my Daytona’s tank.

For one, my 'Bird has a 24 litre tank.
Also, it’s got timeless lines and is actually a good looking bike.
Hence I will concur with the previous readers that the only purpose of this machine could be an overpowered streetfighter, other than the scrap heap for fugly misguided machinery…
Bring back the 'Bird, give it ABS, 4-way flashers and maybe a few cc/hp more without bloating up the weight and that’s all Honda’s gonna need to please me.
