And why the need to massively increase the cc? It went through a couple of 750cc revisions, a couple of 800cc revisions. And then suddenly it is a 1200cc porker.
Why not keep it 800cc? It always did temp me, but at 1200 they’ll lose to much market share to the dedicated tourers from the likes of Yam, Kwak, BMW etc.
Well, it looks like this is going to be another “Marmite” bike!
Personally, I like it! It needs a new exhaust and a few other bits, but I reckon it could be a nice bike!
Also, as soon as I saw it, I thought it looked like Honda were taking the fight to the likes of BMW with their K1300s, and all the other sports/tourers out there.
Looks too much like a K1300 to be truly ‘unique’. Too slab sided, far too angular, and that front wheel just looks… strange and puny in front of that epicly large rad.
No, sorry Honda, lost me here. But then again, I’ve always preferred the older Honda bikes when compared to the 2009/2010 models.
its NOT a vfr 750/800 replacement its a BLACKBIRD replacement, and Honda need another large capacity sports tourer to carry on the tradition, shame its a V4 and not a 1200 or 1300+ IL4, but i will try and get test ride on one, just hope it hasnt got the V-tech from 800 on it :)
oh and want to see one with luggage fitted and pillion seat looks a bit thin IMO
I believe it’s not simply a Blackbird replacement but one designed to cover that AND the 800.
Presumably they’re going to come out with a sportier version at some point than the ‘F’ though.
What do you mean "Shame its a V4? Do you remember the VF1000? That had a stonking lump in it. Beat an IL4 all day long on ;)Anyway, theres a whisper that this may be a V5:w00t:It must be true if its in MCN ;):D:D:D:D
