I don’t know if you’re on LB but just in case. I want to say thankyou to the guys on green Ninja’s who stopped to help myself and my sister yesterday on the A228. She is ok, but her throat swelled up quite a lot, she was lucky to manage to stay on the bike, although she couldnt’ breath!
We managed to get home ok, but thanks for stopping to help xx
Right, are you all sitting comfortably.
We were both riding down a bypass (A228), doing .ahem…70mph. All of a sudden my sister drops back really quickly, parks the bike, and as she got off she kinda fell onto the bank holding her throat. I ran over to check and she wasn’t breathing properly, it took a while and she was able to take some deep breaths, and sit up. Relief!!
A seagull had hit her in the windpipe, not the smallest of birds, but when she sat up, i swear, i tried not to laugh but her lid was stuffed full of feathers. they were everywhere, sticking out the visor, falling out of the bottom of her lid, all in her face! but when she stood up, it finished me off! She was covered in gull shiiiiiite, how do they have so much inside them??
It was also all over her bike, and the gull had also broken a bit off her bike. Like i said lucky girl, she stayed on it!
Glad she’s ok. Dave was hit by a crow once last year, hit him square in the chest. He went back to kill it cos it was reeling around in agony and he hates to see them suffer.
