A rider was behind me when I binned it and was kind enough to see if I was ok. I had ear plugs in so couldnt here u all that well but thanks so much for your concern!
A pedestrian decide it was safe to cross the road at aldgates ring road far far away from the crossing just after traffic merges from liverpool street and tower bridge. She also decided it was clever to hide behind a bus so i couldnt see her until i was nearly next to her and to either bin it or hit her - nice one u clearly learnt ure green cross code.
She won’t last long if she continues crossing london streets like that - she’s lucky she didn’t end up like that goldigger heather mills who fleeced mcartney - (the bint lost her leg when she was hit by a police bike).
she ran off before i could even say anything…and to be honest whats the point? The crash mushrooms did there job all i ended up with was a bent gear lever.
However I would like to get my lid tested as i cant remember if it touched the ground. My head feels fine, didnt have a headache or even feel an impact and there isn’t any scratches on my lid but best to make sure.
yo dude glad you’re allright, and the bike isnt too bad lukily. it’ll be good to catch up at bmm or ace one time, u still rolling in ur gixer6 right? ne plans to change bike?
Its really irritating when someone else causes your accident, worse for you because you have fork out for the repairs yourself. The confidence issue is particularly bad - I’m still worrying about cars pulling out without looking and have taken to using my horn loads.
Hitting anything is bad, but hitting a pedestrian is the worst thing you can possibly do as a biker. Trust me. The complications and legal ramifications are immense, not to mention the horrible nature of using a 250kg metal/plastic object to hit someone with.
Yeah i made the right choice although it was less of a choice more of a reflex. Its not the end of the world but i am looking into getting a ktm for a change as most of the miles i do these days are commuting!
